    What's the lug to lug please Eddie?

    Looks amazing. Sadly, I'm also in the too-big-for-me camp.

    In the first picture of all the movements in the tray, why does one of them have a red end and the rest yellow?

    Great choice of strap as well, that looks like it will be a winner.

    Nice to see a boys version of the B-Uhr Type B coming together. I would love to see one of those movements in a proper sized case!

    The watch looks great on that strap, I will be very tempted when they are released. Looking down the thread with only 50 movements, a very special limited edition.

    Wow! This looks great. I hope they're available soon.

    If the watch is to be supplied with a glass as well as a solid back then can you specify which one the watch supplied is fitted with? Will you get a tool to swap them yourself or is it a trip to the watchmaker.

    The watch will be fitted with the display back...I don't seem to recall a free case opener supplied with the watch. So it will be a trip to the watchmaker or you'll just buy a good case opener which is also quite handy for all your other watches. I can also very much recommend the rubber ball type opener which ensures that you don't scratch the case...

    Click on timefactors at top of the page, that's where Eddie sells his watches/straps etc.

    When it's ready, it will go on sale on a first come, first served basis. AFAIK, Eddie has never done pre-ordering.

    A minor detail, but an absolutely vital one, is the arrangement and decoration of the hands.

    I've loved, but had to let go, two Stowas because in use I could not differentiate between the hour and second hands. I then ordered, but pulled out of, a Stowa 6498 without a second hand because it was too much of a compromise. Having the white on the second hand roll on as the lume on the minute hand diminishes cracks that problem.

    This has the potential to be absolutely definitive Eddie.

    This might get interesting, the graphic I sent them spells it correctly and the proof they sent back spells it wrong.

    Time for a gratuitous re-posting of Eddies pics.

    Now that is a thing of beauty.

    I had made myself a promise not to buy any watches this year, but I don't think I will be able to resist this one.

    Does this mean they've produced all 50 of them with the spelling mistake?

    If so, a considerable cost for either party to eat I'd have thought?

    Ouch indeed.

    I think I was reading somewhere that although they look nice they actually are there in order to trap dust particles that might find their way into the movement.
    It was the Swiss response to some engravers' strike or something!
    The article was quite interesting but I cannot for the life of me remember where I was reading it....

    I read that they were originally done to disguise blemishes on the top plate.

    That could very well be one more use.
    I found the article;
    It was hodinkee. I am not always a fun of what they are posting or promoting but I did find this one interesting;

    https://www.hodinkee.com/articles/th...enaud-and-papi

    Edit;

    I also found this interesting article which mentions three reasons;
    - To hide blemishes from the machining process
    - To decorate
    - and to capture dust particles

    Interesting stuff indeed!

    That looks awesome, especially that big ole honkin' crown and the wheels on the movement. I hope the lug to lug is in my range.

    Dare we hope the strap will be available in 20mm and 22mm as well for our smaller and less deserving watches?

    This is gorgeous. Likely going to be out of my price range at the moment, but an aspirational watch! Love the premium quality look of it and can't wait to see real world photos of it.
