    1981 CWC Auto Diver Movement

I've been revisiting my not so original 1981 CWC automatic divers watch and have just realized that the movement in it is not correct. All along I thought the 25J ETA 2782 was the correct movement based in part that the 1980 CWC auto uses the 25J ETA 2783 i.e a brother/sister movement to the 2782.

Now that I've looked a bit closer at some of the images available it would appear that the correct movement for the '81 CWC diver is the 17J ETA 2872. Those who are lucky enough to have a '81 CWC automatic diver might like to confirm this. I apologize if I've mislead anyone in the past, but you can see how easy it is to get the two movements mixed up. ETA 2782 - No, ETA 2872 - Yes.

That movement had a pretty long life Terry, I'm sure that my O&W Caribbean 1000 has the 17 jewel version of the 2872 as well.
