Help please: Changing Steinhart Bezel Insert

    Hello forum!

I've just completed level 2 on the 'white-watch-belt'....aham - I've changed the bezel insert on my steinhart GMT.

Now here comes the question, please bear with me - I don't know the terminology. In the guides I have used they mention a 'ring' which goes on before the 'wire thing' - my steinhart didn't have that, should it? :blackeye:

Here is a picture to illustrate the objects im attempting to describe - the picture is from here (excellent guide but is in german):http://www.r-l-x.de/forum/showthread...leicht-gemacht

I think it's the click-ring you're describing. I haven't removed my Steinhart GMT bezel so can't say if it has one or not I'm afraid (though I would have thought that there should be one).

Did you need to remove the whole bezel to replace the insert? I thought that Steinhart used double-sided tape to hold the insert and you could prise the old one out without removing the bezel?

I only realized that after I put the new bezel insert in - actually the bezel action improved, so it did have a purpose in the end :)

while this really doesn't answer my question - it is pretty funny actually! :D I like the choice of music, like something from a cheap adult film (so i've heard..... )
