I'm really pleased with how this has come out, it looks absolutely stunning on the iPhone 4 Retina display (and of course the new iPod Touch now has the same display). We'll be working on the iPad Compatibility next week as it's not as simple as you think to get it working correctly there, despite being an iOS device!
We are also working on the Android version, so those of you with those devices can also enjoy the app, hopefully within a couple of weeks.
My company, Maximum Designs, were happy to provide the development of this App for FREE (it is, after all, our first app!) and all proceeds from sales will be donated to the Alexandra Bastedo ABC Animal Sanctuary (http://www.abcanimalsanctuary.co.uk/) a registered charity selected by Eddie :)
Enjoy the app, please review it in the store as that makes it more likely for others to try it... and feel free to announce this anywhere you see fit!
Cheers
Jon

Apple have just approved version 1.1 of this App which is now available in the App Store :)
What's New In Version 1.1
• Added Movement Option (Auto, Quartz, Tuning Fork)
• Fixed Minor Memory Leaks
• Improved Overall Efficiency
• Updated Graphics
thanks jon. great work. 8) 8) 8) how easy / hard would it be to add a ( moveable ) 60 min diving bezel to some of those? that would be amazing
Good luck everybody. Have a good one.
We did consider including the bezel on some models but that changes the dynamics of it essentially being the dial & hands. Maybe we'll mock something up and see how it looks/works but we're likely to add a chrono function before that TBH.Originally Posted by seikopath

Just got it. Very nice - will make a useful bedside clock.
Cool!
Now all I need is a phone that can run it...

Nice one!
Just installed it, and it's great!
I'm not as think as you drunk I am.
Thanks guys, do let me know if you come across any bugs or indeed have any suggestions for new features :)
Just installed it and have fired up the Dreadnought as a desk clock. My first feature suggestion would be to allow the user to control the display brightness from the app, in the same way as iBooks does. That would mean I could leave it in screen lock disabled mode and alter the brightness to preserve battery life. My second would be to have it sync with an atomic clock somewhere.
On the alarm clock feature, would that make use of iOS 4 local notifications?
Excellent!
Best wishes,
Bob
Thanks, have downloaded to give it a whirl. My only feedback is that it would be great to have it sync with an atomic clock as others have said and put up the other watch models.
That and also doing other os formats like Android, Blackberry, Nokia, etc.
Great job :)
Even better would be if it could sync with your wristwatch! :)Originally Posted by dowsing

I will wait for the android version with anticipation!
And the Getat option :bom:
Thanks for the feedback... we didn't even consider syncing it with anything other than the inbuilt time but now realise that can be as bad as a minute out! Will look into syncing options.Originally Posted by dowsing
Android version in progress, probably unlikely to be transferred to Blackberry/Nokia TBH.
Just got it now, looks great.
Unfortunately my only TF watch is a PRS-10, maybe that will come in the future.
"I forget who it was that recommended men for their soul's good to do each day two things they disliked ... it is a precept that I have followed scrupulously; for every day I have got up and I have gone to bed."
Might be quicker to just buy another Timefactors watch ;)Originally Posted by davidcbull

I found out the same when I downloaded the Atomic Clock app and was quite surprised to be honest, you'd have thought the phone's own clock would be more accurate.Originally Posted by Jonmurgie

My iPhone is now showing time a la PRS 50 8)
This is really cool ... and what better reason to buy .. another watch  :D

Wow. That's clever. Shame I don't have an iPhone.
Get down to the app store (on iTunes) and buy this folks!
The ABC Animal Sanctuary is a great cause to support!
Not having an iphone is no excuse :-)
Nice work Jon.
How easy would it be to make it a lockscreen app? Or does that option only exist on jailbroken phones?
It would be good to have the watch displayed as your default login screen.
Agree also with the brightness adjust and sync suggestions.
Cheers
Steve
Lockscreen stuff is only on Jailbroken phones and that's not an area we're going to develop for in all honesty...Originally Posted by Steve264
Pity. Typical of Apple to cripple a delivery mode which can sustain some really useful functionality.
Thanks for this, excellent stuff! 8)

Good stuff Jon
Control... Apple are all about control ;)Originally Posted by Steve264
Just downloading it from itunes now. Does the lume view change according to the time of day (suppose I could just wait a little while and see for myself)?
Makes me almost want an iPhone.
That is superb, nice job!
"I looked with pity not untinged with scorn upon these trivial-minded passers-by"
Not yet but as you'll see in the "in development" section it will be an option in the next release... That said we'd all have to agree on what time of day we consider "dusk" and "night" to be ;)Originally Posted by smoz
Thanks to all those who've downloaded so far, don't forget to leave a rating and review!!
It's a good app, but it's the only app i've ever paid for, all other apps i have are freebies.
I can see this leading to a slippery slope now, as already my talking cat has an ugraded Bakewell tart
So thanks for that  :D
Is it quartz ?
Just downloaded it, and I love it.
Well done, great job!!!
Graeme.
Brilliant - just added to my iPhone and what a brilliant way to 'try before you buy'. Using the PRS29 in dusk mode at the moment :-)
Steve (via tapatalk on his iPhone)
Just downloaded. Cool app :)
Just bought it, love it and i hope to see a prs-5 with a sapphire caseback soon.. :happy2: :love4:
What fun! My compliments on the idea and the execution! Class move sending the proceeds to the worthwhile cause. I'm downloading the app now.....
Jon,
Unlike the actual watches the date wheels have zeroes before the single digits. You asked for the feedback....
This is great fun!
Thanks for the feedback, this has been commented and noted earlier in the thread but will endure it's looked at with next update :)Originally Posted by glickman
