Ignoring the fact that this sentence doesn't make sense to me, she could get a proper job.What I can earn by writing making the occasional short film brings in just enough to cover the rent. It is hard to be sympathetic when she's saying that she goes without some things to keep being able to go to expensive restaurants and cafes. Just don't go out if it's really THAT bad!
She also said she'd go out if invited and dreaded being asked to split the bill equally... hang on... I've always assumed that would happen as a matter of course. Be nice to have friends where it'd be assumed they would pay...
There's not many people who aren't feeling the pinch, some more than others. An article like this is a little galling to say the least.
I saw this yesterday and almost had a fit. It makes me so indescribably angry that I'm barely capable of passing further comment, other than to say that I hope that the comments from Mail readers (of all people) make her realise how badly she comes across and what an error of judgment she had in agreeing to write this article.
It's a bit of a bugger when you can only afford Moet instead of the usual Bolly.
