I'm giving them to my three sons, unless you are a son I don't know about  but I've never been to Detroit.

The seller ended this listing early because the item is no longer available for sale.
I had it on good authority that these were all defective and may or may not have been repairable.

There was another seller that was selling a batch of non working watches.

The seller in question states that they have all been tested and are working fine.

He already has good feedback from sales of these watches.

    We'll wait and see. :?
    Cheers,
    Neil.

And the bloke who sold them to him said they were all non-runners. I hope nobody does get ripped off and I agree, his feedback is good but he has ended the auction early stating that the item is no longer available.

Apparently someone is negotiating to buy the whole lot, I wonder where they will re-surface?

Anyone got theirs yet ? I'm still waiting. Paid with paypal immediately, but no feedback left. Hate that when sellers wait for the buyer to leave feedback first

    Whinge mode off

It's Friday and I'm still waiting.

Anyone got any good news on this?

    Thanks,

I can add some more bad news - no watches for me either, and all emails being ignored

I got an email from John on wednesday saying he would post out to me on Friday.

Let you know when I receive them.

I have sent him a link to this thread.
    Cheers,
    Neil.

    Thanks Neil

I've just had an email to say the watches will be posted tomorrow. Hopefully a happy outcome for all concerned

    Received my watches this morning.

All packed up with battery number required on each individual packet.

Three of the watches take a 395 which I have put in and all look to be going OK.

I'll keep an eye on them over 24 hours.

The other older model is marked taking a 394 so I'm going to have to get one before I can test it.

    Has everybody else got theirs?
    Cheers,
    Neil.

Yep, got mine this morning. Seems fine. This type of watch is nicer in the flesh than in pictures, and at £18 delivered who's complaining anyway!

Does anyone know what happened to the rest of the consignment, as they were pulled shortly after I purchased mine?

Believe the issue was at that price, was reducing margins of others, and some peer pressure applied.

I'm awaiting two of them, wish I had sprung for more, but I thought I'd be able to come back and snag a couple more once I made sure they were okay. I doubt we'll be seeing prices like that anytime soon.

You're correct when you say that some peer pressure was applied but it was applied because I bought 100 watches from the same source and paid more than Gizmo was selling them for on eBay.

The source told me that the watches Gizmo bought were all confirmed as "non-runners or unreliable". Time will tell, either Gizmo was ripping people off or I was ripped off.

Got mine on Tuesday, and was a little dismayed to see how bad the crystal was, including two small cracks opposite each other. The battery compartment was also corroded.

But a local watchmaker cleaned it up, fitted a battery and polished up the crystal which has come up very nicely, leaving just the two small cracks.

Seems to be keeping time so far, so overall I'm quite happy to have an issued G10.

If I decide to have the crystal changed, does anyone know where I can get one, and do they fit from the front or through the back? Are they glued in or pressure fitted?

Eddie, I hope you find that you didn't get burned on that deal.

    Cheers,

    Jim

easily obtainable from most material houses.

Got a couple of batteries for my 2 Gizmo CWC's this morning. Both seem to be running fine. For £18 each, a bargain. New crystals to follow and then they'll be very nice examples (both Royal Navy issue numbers).

    Cheers

    Foggy
