    Formex 4Speed DS2000 Automatic Chrono

I could kick myself for not buying this in Aruba. It is the coolest tool watch I have ever seen. Now, I can't find one in the US and the UK exchange rate is a killer. Does anyone know about this company?

    Thanks,

    Hi,

Loads around if you do a search:

    Both Quartz and automatic.

Found this one, on a UK site, at less than a grand for export.

    http://www.edirectory.co.uk/pf/pages/mo ... ho&cid=880

... which is a bargain, when this one costs £1500

    ....here:

I don't know anything about the maker, so I can't comment, sorry.

A google search using 'formex 4 speed ds 2000' as the search string pulled out dozens of entries.

I think he was trying to find one in the US. The exchange rate from the pound to the Monopoly money we are currently using is awful. I don't know why he posted it on a UK forum, but my gut tells me the other watch forums out there have the same post asking for help.

As a matter of fact, there were even more for sale in the US!!

Never heard of this make before, but strangely there were hundreds of hits.
Seems that they are very popular with the F1 crowd.

Yes, a terminal case I'm afraid.

This Formex TS375 chrono may be of interest for any WIS who want to have the biggest possible lump of steel on their wrist:

Not my bag but it certainly makes a statement. Photo nicked from chrono24 seller "Mitch".

In a motor race, you would have to change your fuel load if wearing that.

    Best wishes,
    Bob

Stock car race, most likely. Otherwise the watch's substantial height might damage the driver's window.
    Cheers,
