@Matt8500 is that a valid plate? Best I can come up with is L0 DGE but didn’t think that was allowed/valid.

It’s got a dealer fake on to obscure the real plate

Good detective work! Recommend them too; not pushy at all, and let me test the cars I was interested in in my own time.

It’s mostly the posers with something to show off that populate this thread.

Most folk are just driving around in a Ford Focus.

Thats a beauty. Remember seeing one for the first time on the road, overtook about 4 cars and a bus going up a hill. Looked like it had been shot out of a catapult, not that I could condone such behaviour!

Stunning shape IMO, you must be pleased!

Or those that are excited by cars. If you have no interest in cars... move on to the next thread. Weird comment from you and the other bloke, on a watch forum of all places...

Not much posing going on in this thread. Just a shared love of cars.

After lots of weekends in the workshop snd a fair amount of spanner-throwing, my defender is almost finished. (Possibly).

It required a new chassis way sooner than I had hoped, but I love it.

The plain white defender is how it started a few months ago. The yellow chassis is the one now fitted!

    Thank you chaps.

Lots went on under the skin too with new timing belt, new swivels, new stub axles, new dash panel, new suspension all round, serviced oils in the engine, gearboxes and axles. A couple of awkward Oil leaks fixed at the block (easy one at the sump left to do when I make some time).

Oh grow up. Most "folk" are walking around with £120 Armanis, gshocks, citizens and Seiko's. 90% of this forum could be described as posers with our Rolex, Omega and Breitlings.

    What a lame contribution.

Just realised I’m a bit of a poser.

Probably should know that. Either way superb car! Spent a day in the Comp at Silverstone a few weeks ago and it is extraordinary what the car is capable of.

Had a 2003 old shape Saab 9-3 convertible for the last 6 years. Thing was indestructible and flew through every MOT, until it died earlier this year.

I am currently driving a lovely 2006 Mondeo estate with a mere 210k on the clock, not to be confused with the standard poverty spec LX, this one comes with a raft of unique features
Special edition 2 tone paintwork, while mostly silver, it has some lovely orange\brown accents.
Anti boy racer mode, car goes into limp home mode if you are too enthusiastic with the accelerator.
Integrated wet room in passenger footwell
Unique wheezy engine noise piped into the cabin for that 'this things gonna die any minute' sense of danger and excitement.

Just hope it survives until my new motor arrives in a month or so. To be fair, it's done well for a £300 car having had it since Jan.
If it survives long enough, it may debut on SC

Part exd the 5 Series Touring last week and picked this G30 up on Saturday. Its the SE with 3ks worth of add on's which brings it just below the 40k new price, so no extra tax.

Bloomin lovely car with bags of tec and drives so much better as its 100kg lighter then the old model

Not a "real" new car, but none the less I'm really happy with the model. I'm just deciding if I want to get it sprayed black to match the real thing.

I like Audis, if you couldn't guess. The black A4 now resides two houses away with a neighbour. My wife uses the 1984 Coupe 5E as her daily drive, although she seldom goes out more than twice a week. The rest of the time she's chauffeured. I'm expecting a peaked cap, gloves and a dark suit for Christmas.

Ooh, I had a 100 saloon GL 5E C2 back in the day. Lovely car and my father had it after me. Was a revelation compared to some of the Vauxhall/Ford offerings of the time. So smooth and a brilliant ride.

Not normally a fan of BMW but that does look nice, the interior too. Currently trying to squeeze a suv under 40k without much luck!

The extra tax is a bummer £1800 on top of the normal tax over 5 years

I don’t know if beautiful is the right word and I’ve owned two that shape. Now the Quattro, yes. Those blistered arches are iconic.

    Phwoar! Lovely. Well done.

Is that a sand or mud track mounted on the side?

    Thank you.

It is a sand track. Same on t'other side. There are smarter ways to attach them but i have them fitted with some stainless thumb wheels, which wind on to bolts i have drilled into the panel.
