Had this now for 3 years. Handles well but not really a "fast" car.

Been a long road from here, and not even nearly how I want it yet!
1979 930, 4 speed, 67,000 miles. I’ve had it for around 12 years, and it gets driven as I work on it. It was my bedroom wall poster!

I picked this up last year.

It's a four wheel drive Audi A8 D3 from right at the end of the D3 production run.

The car was on 83,000 miles when I bought it and has been great so far.

Since moving to the Cotswolds last year I've been able to find an excellent local Audi specialist to look after it.

Being tall (6 foot 5 inches), despite having had reasonably sized cars before, the A8 is pretty much the first car I've had where an adult can sit behind me!

I think the shape is aging pretty well and I think I actually prefer it to the D4 which started around 2010 until recently.

    Bloody love this car!

I did have to take my NC out the other day and had the roof down, albeit whilst feeling inexplicably sheepish.

I was planning to buy a used Sportnav but with the latest engine (had a 2015 Sportnav for 2.5 years but was slightly
tuned by BBR from new) and went to local dealer last November to test drive one and this was sitting in the showroom
    unregistered.
They were very keen to sell me a new black one they had rather than the used one and offered me a fairly good deal
but wouldn’t have bought new. Then asked if I could sit in the 30th AE as it has Recaros and about the only thing I didn’t like about my first one was the lack of lateral support on the seats, really comfortable and loved the colour inside and out
    and the Rays alloys.
Couple of days later had a call from the salesman offering me a better deal on the black one and I asked about the 30th AE
but said they couldn’t do the same discount on this as Mazda had final say on 30th AE prices, I made them a very cheeky offer and said they would let me know if things changed. Long story short a week later I bought it at £4,500 below list which was my cheeky offer.

Picked this up last week - home charging point to be installed shortly, and there are a couple of fast chargers not too far from me in the meantime.

I had ordered it before covid-19 kicked off, and since then my weekly mileage dropped to close to zero. So it's gonna be a while before it makes any difference to my fuel bills given that I had last filled my previous car's tank back in February, and still had nearly half a tank when I traded it in.

Picked this up the other day and loving it, Cooper S Exclusive so there is more emphasis on luxury as opposed to sport. Great round the town and a perfect back up to my lovely M3, enough power to be interesting and handling is superb.

Bought this a while back as a pool car for the business-mainly for running around, collecting parts etc.
Flew through the MOT and returns about 45 to the gallon.
Not missed a beat since we bought it.....lot to be said for a £250 banger

After almost exclusively driving manual rear wheel drive Sports cars the past 25 years; plus a few hot hatches in between. I’ve taken my first foray into the world of sensibility, refinement and economy. I’m now driving the BMW 2 Series Active Tourer 225xe PHEV. I cannot fault it. It’s practical, refined, goes like a rocket off the line which is handy as I have to pull out onto the A12 daily from a very tiny slip road, I’m averaging over 61mpg too and zero Tax. It also grips like the proverbial to a blanket and handles surprisingly tidily too. Looks dull as ditch water but I’m astounded by how complete an all round package this is. I’d thoroughly recommend one. I will add on longer journeys expect a more realistic 45 mpg but if your commute is less than 20 miles per day you’ll be virtually fuel free and on electric only which on my tariff is about £1.30.

What would a 2015 Volvo XC60 D5, 40k on clock, Auto, leather, heated, satnav, self closing boots plus loads of other little extras be worth?

Put the reg into WBAC and add a bit on top? Or go onto autotrader and click to advertise your car for sale and again type the number plate out and see what they say, put a bit on top.

    What do you drive?

My new taxi for work. I bought it at the beginning of March and so far I’ve done the grand total of one days work in it.
    Back on it tomorrow though.

Cheers, I thought that was it but didn’t want to make a faux pas.

Would be too small for me but it is a great car. What a modern MGB might have been.

A couple of months ago I had a note put through my door from a young, aspiring photographer asking me for a photo shoot with my car. A couple of weeks ago, him and his Dad along with myself and my son headed to a few local spots where he thought could take some good shots.

Here is a selection - I think they turned out well, and nice to have a few decent photos - certainly better than I can manage

That Merc is a tough act to follow...

The Golf R is a fantastic car for twisty roads. This will be the daily until an M2 comes along.

Snap, pleasure to drive indeed. Bought as a stop gap after getting rid of my Octavia which was akin to owning white goods, extremely efficient at its job just a little dull IMO. I seem to be drifting towards the large comfortable automatic category!

S80 is a great second buy as they suffer monumental depreciation in the first couple of years.
