Just bought this and I am head over heels with it!

Absolutely sad but feels like a little bit of a milestone for me as I have wanted one since I was about 5 years old.

Lovely combo. Seems to sit very high? Or is that just the angle of the photo?

Its Porsches way to get you to option PASM or even SPASM.

They sit 10mm and 20mm lower respectively.

Mine is very lightly optioned and doesnt have a few of the bits I did actually want like PSE (sports exhaust) and the PASM but driving it around I'm not missing them at all as the noise is epic after years of diesels and the suspension is really comfortable too.

Even my lightly optioned car has about £8k worth of extras!

Lovely motor and a great colour, but it's verboten to drive around at low speed or park it with the spoiler raised.

  12. #5312
You never forget your first 911 it's a special day indeed, congrats. As above on the spoiler!

Indeed it does, and the temptation is very strong to hit that button. Resist!

Congrats, in all seriousness, they are great and you will love it more and more as you accumulate the miles together.

The 911 silhouette is something that makes me weak at the knees.

    That is some care mate.

Beautiful looking 911 there - I often miss mine.

I'm sure I'll treat myself to another sometime... possibly soon...

Still happy with the last of the over engineered Mkll GS430 V8 - I've had 5, all from new and it's a shame that they don't still make them.

In complete reversal to the usual cars on here, I present to you my rear engined, turbo powered, rear wheel drive coupe...

Purchased as a car to not worry about leaving anywhere & as my daily station hack. Really grown on the wife & I, it’s good fun, incredibly small & easy to park in the smallest spaces. Turning circle is astounding, the front wheels are almost at 90 degrees & can easily do a 180 degrees turn instead of a 3 point one.

I have noticed other drivers try to bully or push their way through, but I’m not having any of that, I just keep going until they yield to my right of way. Transits seem the worst so far.

Don’t notice this behaviour at all when I’m in the M4 or the Boxster. I guess people see a smart car & assume the driver isn’t someone who can drive capably etc & has given up with driving.

I have to admit that I do make similar sweeping assumptions regarding Nissan Micra and the Daihatsu Sirion drivers.
Probably because they are the cars which my mother-in-law drives. I say 'drive' in the loosest possible sense of the word, 'blunder around in whilst revving the guts out of it' may be a better turn of phrase.

Smart drivers I think are much cooler.

I bet that’s fun around town. Interesting shaped bumper- looks like Wallace’s mouth

It's a long established law of motoring that the driver of the most expensive car gets the right of way, as they can afford a better lawyer.

I'm not sure if it still holds, given the high proportion of leased cars on the roads these days.

    I like the Smart!

Great, thanks! I had a quick test drive but had to make a rapid decision as it was the last car available on a good lease deal. Unfortunately doesn't have the aero kit (it's the premium spec) but thought it would make for a fun daily driver to replace our departed Discovery Sport! Seemed to have a nice gearbox and I love the dash, Merc seemed to have upped their game there.

Aye the interior is the best in any hot hatch. The style pack (aero) is definitely nice but not essential. It's also very nippy!

    What do you drive?

This week I have mainly been running around MI in this ...

A 6.0 litre turbo diesel heavy duty Dodge Ram.

It’s surprisingly sprightly ... when we don’t have the trailer hitched up.

... & it’s huge. I’m about 5’8” and the bonnet is about nose level !

The exhaust sounds amazing on them!

I’d love my smart to sound like this or my old JCW, but this is a ‘no spending’ car. Just needs to drive & park! Plus the wife would notice the over-run..

It is an impressive piece of kit - even in the poverty ‘utility’ spec. we had.

    Like the Ram!
Just got back from a month in Canada and they’re everywhere
Not sure if the 5,7 Hemi or the Cummins diesel would be best!
    Either are pretty impressive

Mrs Goats daily is a bright yellow one of these but in Trofeo trim
Same exhaust etc but a few bhp less and slightly softer(!!!) suspension.
Very nice to drive, has that special feel to the steering and gear change etc- tactile thing it is.
