    CWC mechanical military watch

I've just found this item for sale:

    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... 46428&rd=1

Does anyone know if these CWC watches are any good?

I have this watch and it's the best watch I own. Looks great and when worn gains about 1 second a day. Cost me £150 new.

If it is brand new, I doubt that it is issued ... one of the usual CWC overrun military watches.

Which is not to say that it is necessarily a bad watch.

Check http://www.chronomaster.co.uk or http://www.silvermans.co.uk for the official retailö price, which I believe is higher than the eBay BIN.

Not that I would put the watch above Eddie's TimeFactors watches, mind you ...

    Hi Crusader,
they are new re-issued (not military issue) watches made for the nostalgic amoungst us. I had one for a while and it ran purfect but it just didn't look right for me being all shiney and new, I like a bit of 'wabi'. If I remember rightly it cost about 130-150GBP new.
    Phots of my watch:

You are correcvt, of course, Steve. They are homages/replica rather than unissued issued ones. :)
