I think my days of watches and WIS'ing are over

I've been getting a bit bored with watches lately, but in the last week it really hit home, i've become so despondent with watches that i've even started looking at breitlings, it all happened innocently enough, i was walking past goldsmiths in Bath, looking in the window and 10 minutes later it hit me, i'd looked at the breitlings for about 5 minutes, a window i usually avoid like the plague. Then a couple of days ago i again noticed that i'd looked at the breitling avenger for sale in the sales forum and started thinking 'i really like that'.

So i guess when the last bastion falls it's time to move on, i think i might just take a hiatus for a while and see if i can get over this :(

Mate if you still are happy with the AP be content with it and enjoy the cracking watch. A break maybe be good and try to be a one watch guy

But, keep posting here, you'll rediscover the lust

I'm buying a tele with the watch fund i have saved up so far, so i'm happy enough being a one watch guy just now, although the wife isn't allowing me access to the money for some weird reason until we're in the sony centre, she acts like she doesn't trust me

Looks like your tastes are maturing not waining. Upgrading to a Breitling from an AP is usually a good sign

I would laugh at that comment, but i'm too scared incase the breitling brigade come round my house in their souped up corsas

I can almost hear the sound of 'scooter' being played full blast on car stereos as we speak

Re: I think my days of watches and WIS'ing are over

Oh dear this could be serious!

If you have started looking at Breitlings made after 1970, you may be in need of immediate help.

May I suggest, as a fully non-qualified medical rank amateur of quackish proportions, that you immediately book a prolonged holiday in Barbados. Spend the time lying on the beach, drinking rum punches and enjoying the good restaurants on the West Coast. As you start to feel more yourself, wander down to Bridgetown and have look at the watch shops, if you find yourself lingering over the Breitling display return to the beach immediately. Repeat therapy until you can pass by a display of Britlings without the slightest twitch of interest.

I will be more than happy to singe you off work for the necessary period.

    I dont get Breightlings either
One local jewellers sells IWC, Jaeger le Coultre,Baume et Mercier,Omega and a couple of other top names, but whats in the window?
    Just the Breightlings

Do they get some kick back deal which enables them to fill up a whole window with their marketing stuff?

I think I see the problem - they've bought Breightlings that were manufactured in "Switchinternet".

What they wanted was Breitling
...but what do I know; I don't even like watches!

My god, they can't even spell daytona and i can't remember there being 52 days in any month
I nearly spat out my mouthful of wine reading that  ...it was only due my good breeding that I managed to swallow.
What a great observation!! But I think the date wheel is changing over :D
at 10:10, it must take 24 hours to go from one day to the other, but at least at 23:50 until 23:59 you'll know what the date is :D
Well it is a Brightbling...wot do you expect..
 Yeah, they didn't make 'em like they do now :)
By 22:00 I've usually managed to work out what the date is....(just as well  )

Re: I think my days of watches and WIS'ing are over

Slightly "off" topic, I did see a "Brite Ling" watch for sale on a market stall in Hong Kong a couple of weeks ago, wish I had taken a photograph - they were right next to the "Raybock" trainers

Scratch that Breitling itch I say ...
