HI I just bought a S.O.S ALINARI PATENT (Made in Italy) off the bay - not sure why except that I liked it :D
Does anyone (Mike) have any information about it - age - 1960's would be very nice :D . The guy selling also claimed it was Mil issue - no sign of a NSN, etc however it does have A 2335  scatched on the back.
Also should I try to clean it up or leave it eau natural.
Thoughts please and thanks in advance.
Andy

Don't know why but I do like this. Good buy imho :) Hard to tell from the photos the exact condition but I'd be tempted to leave au naturelle. Cool doodad to have on your desk :)
I agree - it's a nice thing. I'd leave it as is if it were me.
Thanks Gents - shame its not 60's however never mind - only cost a £5 :D Great site by the way.
Looking at the strap that to looks original - and the clasp still works - although a bit green.
Any ideas on how to test it - i doubt the local swimming pool would sufice  not that it will ever see real action.
I have a couple of other bits of historical dive gear coming in the next few days (from Italy  ) and would welcome your thoughts on it

Again any idea's of dates - Comsubin was formed in Feb 1960.
Many thanks Andy
