..... if you aren't wearing a watch?
I rarely take mine off, but recently I've had to be without it for more than just the customary few minutes. It took a while for me to realise that it being watchless that was making me feel slightly 'unbalanced' ...
It's back on now - the world is better!

Not allowed to wear watches at work  No jewellery policy in chemicals industry.
I do like the ritual of replacing the watch prior to leaving for home, though :) [oh, and weding ring!]
Same here. :wink:Originally Posted by seadog1408

I've worn one pretty much every day since the age of 7, it definitely feels wrong when my left wrist is exposed.
Wearing a watch is as important/natural as wearing clothes. And as I'm not walking around naked  you can guess, I'm always wearing a watch.
Given the size and weight of the watches I see on the Firday thread, some people actually might be unbalanced without their watch...Originally Posted by Gregorius

I think some of the folks around here are pretty unbalanced with their watches - now does it get better or worse without !Originally Posted by lysanderxiii
For me, I'm no more unbalanced than usual without one, but I do feel a bit naked - and dare I say a little 'lonely' :(
I've been known to drive back home to put one on if I've forgotten

Yes, that's happened to me as well.....Originally Posted by Rod
I'm lost without mine and keep looking at my empty wrist, like it belongs to someone else and shouldn't be there. I must admit that I take it off to shower, wash up and sleep, despite being resistant to 300m and made of stainless steel, I am somehow convinced that hot water and fairy liquid is out to do it harm!

Go through phases of wearing and not wearing. Each to there own though :)
The summer is coming and at the moment I do not have a watch that can withstand the treatment it gets in the garden. Yet another reason/excuse to buy a new watch

Good point! :albino:
I never feel naked, just under-dressed occasionally

I always feel naked without a watch. Forgot one once when on a day out-bought a Casio to wear for the rest of the day! :D
Definitely, I'm never without! :D

Always, I don't like not wearing a watch.
I do find it slightly odd that if i dont have a watch on, ill still look at my wrist when either, going to look at the time, or talking about the time.....
Saying that, I might be mental
:D I take mine off for sleeping, there is no point in me wearing one in bed because I cant see it in the dark without finding my glasses which means getting up anyway, but the rest of the time one has to be present on the wrist at all times. :D
The odds of this happening are pretty slim - I only take a watch off for showering. I even have two watches just for sleeping in.
goes on first thing in the morning
comes off last thing at night
Yes, just take it off for sleeping and showering and, until I get something appropriate, for swimming too.
My wedding ring is only thing that stays on longer. And possibly my glasses, although I leave them downstairs at night and the watch by the bed.
"I forget who it was that recommended men for their soul's good to do each day two things they disliked ... it is a precept that I have followed scrupulously; for every day I have got up and I have gone to bed."
Only take mine off for showering and as others have mentioned feel unbalanced
without it, it's just wrong!
Never take mine off either - the only time it comes off is to replace it with another. Stays on for tennis, showering, swimming, working on the bike. It may be a GMT II, but I see no reason that it needs babying. :D
I set off to work this morning, got to the end of the road and something was bugging me, first time i can remember forgetting to put my watch on!
can't be without a watch on my wrist, except for as with many others, going into the shower, and going to bed, although even then I won't take it off until I am safely under the duvet
Only when actually naked (i.e. in bed or in the shower) as they are the only times I don't wear a watch.
Cheers,
