Well, they have a Doxa 300T listed at double it's everyday value, so i'd guess the Speedie is aiming very high too. Lovely piece, must admit :)

It is a lovely looking piece but I don't know that it should be called "New Old Stock Condition" as there appears to be some damage to the bezel at the 60 marker.

I was just going to point that out too. Would a identical replacement bezel be available?

I don't think the Omega replacements are identical - although very close, as far as I can tell, the positioning of the dot by the 70 isn't quite right.

Very high price - probably a punt on the back of the completeness etc.

But I suspect there will be an Omega nut somewhere that will buy.

    Re: Would you pay £4700.........

A nice watch and certainly rare to get all the bits with it. However, i wouldn't twice the price just to keep all the bits in a drawer. The bezel looks original and collectors seem to be getting more fussy about these things.

    Re: Would you pay £4700.........

I would not worry about the complete package and get a cheaper one without all that, probably less mint to so I could actually wear it :D

    Re: Would you pay £4700.........

Stunner for sale on VOF @ £2.5k...still too much IMO but a real peach.

True, it would be a great piece to keep but I doubt I'd ever want to wear it!

By far too expensive! This model with box/papers in mint condition can be bought for less than 3000 Pounds.

    Re: Would you pay £4700.........

Collectors item.... very difficult to compare the price to a "normal" vintage Speedmaster.
Personally I would never buy it... there is a lot you can buy for 4700, and a Speedmaster wouldn't be my first thought.

    Just my 2cts

    Cheers

    Re: Would you pay £4700.........

Well its certainly rare to be in such a complete package. But that doesnt justify more than doubling the average cost. On its own, a 145.012-67 should be anything from £1500 to £2500 depending on condition and what it comes with. The one on VOF (and lots of other sites) is very nice indeed, but its still a overrpiced IMO.

    Re: Would you pay £4700.........

    Hi Ben,

I guess it is worth what someone is prepared to pay, traditional market rules. Personally I think £2700 -£3000 is fairer.

    Kindest Regards.

IMHO no, given the current market and I am sure that you could negotiate down a few hundred quid

With the SP reference it would have come on a strap when new.

I love my own vintage Speedy (105.012-65) but I know I would have to pay more than the £1,000.00 it cost me albeit 4 years ago.

    Regards,
