    New arrival.........DOXA

Luckily for me i've had some good news and funds came available sooner than expected and so i decided to get back in to the Doxa fold again.I've owned 5 Doxa's before and have always liked their style of case my favourite being the 750T models. But when the 5000T models came out with the thicker cases i always had an idea in my head what type of combinations would pull me back in................and then they brought out this the 1200T.
This is the Searambler which has the most gorgeous coloured dial,a shimmering silver. It has the thicker case with HV,a step up from the 750T models and the impressive GMT beads of rice bracelet again a pumped up version of the standard bracelet that comes on the 750's.The dial is smaller than the 750T, but because there are no micro sec counters on the dial it actually looks slightly larger than its actual size. Here are some pic's as we all like pic's 8)

This is the first Doxa I've seen that I would seriously consider buying.
I just love all the attention to detail that seems to have gone into the the whole watch.
The fit and finish makes it seem like a piece of quality engineering and I'm a huge fan of that white face.

Lovely watch. Thank you for posting the pictures.

I like that a lot. Sadly, unless I was to wear it around my ankle, a Doxa is always going to be too big for me, I suspect. Still, I can admire from afar, and that does look a cracker.

Ah nice one Lee, looks fab in silver - funny how this is the least popular Doxa, as it really is a looker! - and a great size too, the closest to the original 300Ts in size yet :)

I don't know anything about Doxa and have only seen one in the metal, Mark's (Emgee) but they do come across as extreemly well made pieces of kit!
What are the case dims etc on these babies and what movements do they use etc...etc....

I think you may be surprised. I have a 6.5" wrist and I do struggle with some watches, the PO and Speedmaster in particular just don't look right on me. However I had a 750 GMT and found it to be fantastically well balanced on the wrist, the BOR bracelet was very comfortable. In fact I miss it sometimes except for 2 things; 1) The dial was way too busy. 2) The 1000 and 1200 cases are I believe slightly narrower and shorter then the 750, the loss of a couple of mm all the better for me, however always remember that all the Doxa cases have a fairly short lug to lug length and this for me more then anything else makes a watch look too big.

I agree with the consensus this is the best thing Doxa has done so far.

I also feel that the searambler dials look the best as well. There was a picture posted over on WUS of a searambler taken underwater, the contrast and legibility of the dial was really fantastic, the silver seems to pick up any available light and just bring it out.

As for the quality I felt the 750 was very very good, on a different level entirely to the EZM3 I had but not as good as the Breitling Steelfish I recently flipped. The flaws where a slight offset between the dial printing and the lume application (twist) and some slightly uneven case finishing around the bracelet end pieces on the lugs. That 1200 above looks spot on and super sharp in those pictures.

Congratulations Browners on acquiring a real cracker, I am sure I am not the only one looking at your superb pictures and feeling the longing again.

    Re: New arrival.........DOXA

Thanks for some very kind comments guys i too also owned a GMT Caribbean and agree the dial
was way to busy for me i had the 1000Tshark great watch just the darker dial and micro sec markers
made the face just a bit too small for me,i had both the Pro and shark 5000T again nice but slightly
blingy and i thought the bracelet was not an improvement on the BOR.And finally the Shark 750T
i really can't fault it other than the 1200T's case thickness and GMT (thicker) bracelet gives it
a much much better presence on the wrist. And of course the Silver dial is really superb and very legible
indeed,i'm happy to be wearing a Doxa again for sure.......................... 8)

I think Doxa have hit their stride with the 1200T - a lovely watch. I've been very happy with mine, wearing it now!

Could somebody point me in the right direction?
The dial has a very interesting pattern, but I can't figure out how they would produce something like that :?: :?

    Re: New arrival.........DOXA

These are indeed great looking watches in these pics!
My only frustration is that I never buy a watch I've not tried on or at least seen an example of in the "metal" (and I mean the exact model too!)
This is because oh so many times a watch has not lived up to the great pics or even surpassed them once on the wrist!

Doxa, like many other brands favoured on here are not available in the high street and therefore very difficult or even impossible to try on before buying.
For that reason I'll never own one which is unfortunate because they look great :(

If I have this wrong then please correct me as I'd love to try on a few variations of this brand.

I was wondering how you ordered one though? There doesn't seem to be a mention of it on Doxa's site at all?!

Also note the dodgy exchange rate and the fact you will have to pay Duty.
