However, incredible start into 2010. Love that Rainbow!
For most of 2009 the watch thing just wasn't happening for me, then in the last two weeks of December two watches caught my eye.
Firstly this Seiko SBPG003, a true retro watch with up-to-date casing and module.
Secondly a watch which I had been after for a couple of years, a Zenith El Primero with coloured dial.
I then identified two watches that I would like to get in 2010, well, with a little luck they both came up within the first 5 days of 2010
Another Seiko, this time a SARB003, again a retro look with modern material and movement. I wanted an unusual dress watch and this is so pretty and amazing quality (manual wind too).
Finally not another black dial watch, but a Fortis full lume dial.
and a lume shot
Now I not sure what I will do for the rest of the year :?
But I would like to thank Eddie for the forum and it's facilities as my two WTB threads were answered and to the TZers who responded to my WTB's who were a pleasure to deal with.
Thanks for reading

When you look long into an abyss, the abyss looks long into you.........
Impressive start to the year
some really lovely watches there, too. I especially like the Seiko SARB003. Very cool :)
That is one of the best pics of the SBPG003 I've seen.
the seiko looks impressive, excellent work on the pics!
Another fan of the Seiko, I have long had my eye on them but never had the courage to buy one blind, any chance of a wrist shot?
That's a good haul :D
Great pic of the SARB003, it makes one sit up and take notice - and then email one's ole buddy Seiya :D
Cheers

Wanted - Damasko DC57
:D Four good but very differnet watches, I like the digital Seiko because of its retro appeal but wouldn't want one myself, the other 3 I would happily own and wear, the Seiko with the orange dial and faceted crystal too some serious resisting about a year ago for me, very nearly had that incoming from Seiya a few times :D
I really like the Seiko-what's the lug width on those btw?

The Diashock pic is a real stunner :thumbright:
Thanks for all the comments, I won't be getting a divorce or castration as like most of you I have a wife who is patronising and feigns interest, what more

Sorry Matt no wrist shots but my wrist a near 8inches and the Seiko look fine.Originally Posted by MattP

Very nice and varied buys Derek.
Good to see you back in business. :D
Cheers,

The El Primo with Rainbow dial is gorgeous - especially on that black leather strap with red stitching.
May I congratulate you on your excellent and distinctive taste? The Zenith Rainbow is one of my all time favourites, the retro digital Seiko is extremly cool, a full lume dial should be in every collection and I just love the Seiko SARB's (owning the 001, the 003 and the 005 version):
Have fun with these beautys!
all the best
Jan
Looks like a cracking start to the year to me :)
