Does anybody know why the TZ cycling club on Strava seems to have attracted a bunch of people who join about 200 strava clubs and then spam them with their rides?
Very nice. I picked up one of the A1 models last summer, I've put 4000 miles on it from road rides to commuting to long distance cycle paths to proper off-road riding and not a single issue apart...
That photo could come in handy as I need to pack mine for a trip to the Pyrenees in Sep. I only used my box once before, years ago for a trip to Ventoux and I can't remember exactly how I got it in,...
Same here. Sidewall blowout at 40mph on a brand new GP4000Sii while descending a mountain so I switched to Michelin Pro 4s after reading about a few issues like this on the web.
Had to look that Mango up. Looks like a pretty decent spec for the money!
Just remember, it 98% engine, 2% bike :eagerness:
Some very complicated chain cleaning routines on here, I don't have the time or patience for that! Any light lube in the summer, Muc Off wet lube in the winter which seems to hardly ever need...
Don't want to upset anybody but I know 4 people who have had American Classics and 3 have binned them as they kept failing (loose and broken spokes, creaking, flexing). Light, strong, cheap. Pick 2.
Nice, but why weigh it without pedals and cages? If it's to compare with published figures then I hope you also deducted 10-15% as that is what all the manufacturer's do :biggrin-new:
It's not about the bike. It really isn't.
I did 4h 14m 50s which I was pretty pleased with at 50 years old :-)
So you've decided that next year you'll put in more miles than in 2014 and you're feeling smug. Until you see this...

I think if you ride year round then you might as well have a best and a daily bike at least. Because once the salt starts going down it wrecks them really fast unless you spend half your life...
My helmet rarely sits level, not that I wear one very often (oh no, here we go again :rapture: )
Rule #5 and Rule #9 in full effect at the Ride London 100. Flying the Timefactors colours with the top that Josh organized :joyous: Was nobody else there?

Liked for the Friday posts :icon_biggrin: Thank fck I don't own any pro kit.
It's his commuter! Yes the Duranos give a firmer ride and they are heavier so you get a better workout. Grip is not too bad though. And they rarely puncture at all. I'm willing to bet they'd give...
A new bike because you were fed up with punctures? Just fit some Schwalbe Durano Plus and say goodbye to punctures.
Thanks chaps. Those bikes look nice in the link. The best bike is nothing compared to some of the machinery on here, a Focus Cayo with upgraded wheelset.
Cheers,
Ian
Nice Jackson. Here is mine, made about 1990. I purchased it NOS to replace a frame that snapped on my commuter. Bars, stem, brakes, chainset, front derailleur, seat pin all come from the original...
