    Thanks for the link.

I'm going for the IWC style 22mm honey brown alligator strap, less than £70 on offer.

I still kick myself for not bagging the one listed here and elsewhere a couple of years ago. £3650, mint and with the bracelet.

    Sub £4k it's a great purchase IMO.

Re: How do Rotary not get sued?

I noticed the Rotary display in the local Argos.

There was even a Rotary Patek 5107 homage for £29.99 :o

No sweeping second hand though. :bounce:

Re: Anyone fancy a gold watch

    It's ok.

There's a fair amount of gold in the watch but it already looks a little too expensive for what it is and there's plenty of time yet for it to run.

Re: What Was Your First Watch ?

First watch, Bulova LCD jobbie from Currys, Xmas pressie, £35 back in 1977. Lasted about 18 months.

First decent watch, SpeedyPro Hes/Displayback 3572 back in 2003.

    Still have that one.

Re: Here we go again.....milsub ALERT!

The auction was ended on the 12th.

Sounds like a big bag-o-cash is on the way to the seller as we speak.

    Not my cuppa tea though.

Re: i don't get it (ebay madness)

He's listing a few watches and seems to be using the exact same description.

My gut feeling is that it's not a scam, just badly worded.

    I'm not bidding though.

    Excellent pics.

It must be very pleasing to have such a great heirloom to pass on.

Re: Warning - Sending watches to France

I guess at least it found its way back to you.

I don't know if it is an expensive watch but I'd ensure that it's correctly insured for attempt No2.

    Re: Submariner at wos cardiff

Nothing wrong with that, a 14060m COSC.

Perhaps the price is twice what it should be, but that applies to all Rolex, Omega, Pateks etc.
  12. Re: Watch Service- send to Omega or use local jewellers

I'd agree to opt for an independent watchmaker but £65 seems almost too cheap for a service which should take 3-4 hours if fully disassembled.

    I agree.

If it were serious then the watches would be individually listed for genuine buyers could do some adding up to see if there's value in the bundle.

Seems like the big players are in the game.

Due diligence will be taken as read.

No Paypal disputes on this one.

    Re: Jean Richard?

    I'd prefer a G.P, preowned.

    Such good value for money.
  16. Re: Arrivals - A pair of very scarce Vintage Rolex Explorer II's

    Two very nice examples indeed.

    Congrats.

Re: IWC Mark XV - what strap?

If it were me I'd sell the 18mm straps, add another £20-30 to the proceeds and get the best quality alligator strap available for the money raised.

I'd opt for the Speedy Pro cal863.

Still can be had sub £2k.
