I too find it amazing. No dead periods, only when the battery was changed.

Oh no! That's a shock. I know he hasn't been in the best of health.... saw him at a gig 3 yrs ago and he'd had a bad fall then and had to sit to do the show.

It gives you the option to record a series too on the USB. Select single or series to record.

You should be able to record on that with a USB stick in the USB port on the rear of the TV.
You can check this by going to the programme guide, look for a future programme, and press the 'ok'...
