+1 for Peaky Blinders and Marco Polo
Also I've started watching a series called 'Power', enjoying it so far!
He should also check out the original CSL (e9) from the 70's, they have probably outperformed the e46 from a value perspective.
If you have Netflix I would highly recommend both Marco Polo and Power.

I have the 12 grid watch box and my watches (I.e. Autodromos, vintage seikos etc.) seem to fit okay but I guess my watches could be considered small by today's standards.

Reminds me of a similar opportunity I just missed out on. A genuine M3 CSL with ~18,000 miles on the clock came up for sale locally at about 60% market value....
