It's hard to go wrong with a Glencairn glass, if you want it to be a bit more special go for the crystal version. I use them most times and they have a lovely weight to them.

I would happily pay a little more (and often do) to have something that is non chilled filtered and natural colour. For me It's a sign of a premium whisky with a higher abv, matured in decent casks....
My bottle is the the committee release version. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20211120/f3ffeb363097818d47899ac755f2d0ca.jpg

Your missing out on a whole load of cracking ones, fair share of rubbish too but all regions have that.
Tonight's dram will be this rather lovely 18 yr old teeling. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20210607/986164f17b0ef50466c6193d87e3f486.jpg
I have and still prefer the scorch to it.
Just checked my list of bottles I've tried and have the Uigeadail down as a maybe for re-purchase. The scorch for me would be a definite yes.
This is the first Ardbeg I've actually been impressed by. A truly wonderful nose of a damp dunnage warehouse, elements of soot from an old coal house and ripe tropical fruits. A rich oily mouth feel...
Will do [emoji106]
This has to be the first time since brexit, that actually living in NI was a bonus. I only had to email ardbeg to place an order for this one. Looking forward to trying it tonight....
The 10 yr is down to £26 in tesco atm with your club card. I'll have to pop in tomorrow and pick a bottle up. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20201205/910b1d184ea4e2602602c85a3bc1a891.jpg
Master of Malt have Glenfarclas 21 Year Old on sale for £74.95 this morning.
I finished a bottle of the bushmills 21 on Sunday evening and it tasted just as good as when I opened it on boxing day last yr.
The redbreast 21 is my no1 currently available Irish Whiskey, the Bushmills 21 is a close 2nd.
The Bushmills 16 used to be fantastic and for me was probably 90% of the 21 but the recent bottle I...
A new arrival today. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20201117/ee60b7db20e6bf6a2bf20854fa8a60ab.jpg
I havent posted in a while but the whisk(e)y purchases have continued.

Yeah I'd describe it as the Ardbeg 10 'lite'. Same flavour profile but just a little less intense.
Very very easy drinking.
BTW If anyone is looking to buy a bottle of wee beastie just seen amazon has them coming into stock this Saturday for a super cheap £36.55 Inc free delivery.
Well worth it imo.
Opened the wee beastie last night and 1 dram quickly turned in to 3. Rather delicious stuff and perfectly drinkable neat. A drop of water opens it up a tad, but I don't think it needs it....
Yeah I missed the boat on the launch so had to go further afield to get one. Got for rrp + postage so wasn't too bad.
I expect it will be a bit of a beast. Might even pop it open tonight for a...
New arrival today all the way from the Netherlands. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20200725/c39de34e4fc5d795d144a7e6d696031d.jpg
The black version is for blind tastings when you don't want to be influenced by the colour of the whisky.
I really like the look of them especially the black ones but I just prefer using the...
