Morning,
Yes, surprisingly!
The reduction in size is far more noticeable when worn than the stats would imply.
They must have played with some other dimensions and it just sits so well.
Good...
I think I bought and sold a couple of the GS divers you mention - was about £4k pre-owned for the sbga231 I think?
I have owned both the 231 and the 229.
If you search on Sales Corner you should...
Outstanding reason!
Will try to get some better photos tomorrow

Nice. I love these simple GS, apart from lack of lume!
I just cannot get past that. So disappointing.

Agreed. I do wonder what Seiko are thinking sometimes. They obsess on some minutia, then just ignore some glaring areas for improvement - they almost seem to self-sabotage sometimes

Fairly new out, but anyone tried one of the new GS Hi-Beat divers?

A shade smaller than the Spring Drive version...
If they only did a GS diver in 40mm, that would be my One Watch.
I have had both the Ti and the Steel Spring Drive diver and it’s just too much of a clock for me.

There are GS dealers across the EU, Seiko’s website will help you locate them.
The ones I know don’t carry all stock but can get any current models on request.
Retail on the GMT is about £2900...
Couple more, in natural light (sheltering in the car from the deluge, but anyway....)
Detail is lovely. The face reflects back the hands, the polishing and chamfering on the hands themselves, and...
Just in..... immediate thoughts: very well executed overall. It’s just so well finished. Perfect size.

Is anyone living with a GS GMT quartz, and can give me their thoughts?
Cheers!

Just to say, accuracy-wise.... I know they say +/- 1sec/24hrs but I set it on Wednesday morning. Worn every day since. Checked again this morning.
Currently running at 0 secs deviation........
^^
The dial is stunning. And it’s really light, very wearable despite its tank-like looks.
Lost my GS cherry the other day.... SBGA231
...
I tried this on last weekend at an AD. It’s a beast of a watch but very comfy, and the finish is just unsurpassed. Very nice....!
