£1/ml is certainly too much for me to justify. Have you tried it before, and if so is it extra special?
I too wonder if they buy from the public and what sort of cut they would take.

A lot of the whisky I like seems to be steadily rising in price at the moment, which is a bit of a pain as my stocks took a bit of a hammering over xmas.
Did have a result over the weekend though,...
After braving Oxford Street this morning for some last minute shopping (and a bit of watch oggling in the Wonder Room and Omega boutique) I bought myself something.
Never had it before but...
I'll definitely give it a try, thanks for the tiple-off. Which bottling do you have as there seem to be a lot, I assume its the 2013 release.
Has anybody bought whiskey as an investment?

Very jealous. I'd love to go though I'd fear for the bank balance as I wouldn't be able to resist bringing back some special mementos.
Have a great time and take some pics for us.
It's non filtered, but only 48% so not going to knock your socks off in the alcohol content. It is however a very full flavour and not for those who don't already appreciate the Laphroaig signature....

How you finding the Lagavulin 12? Easily my favourite distiller, but there prices seem to be rising as fast as Omega and Rolex. Wish I had bought some of the 30 year old, my birth year whiskey :),...
Wouldn't normally be something I went for, but got a bottle last time my dad was down, as he doesn't like my peaty Islay selection. Was very pleasantly surprised, an absolutely delightful drop.

Got a bottle of Laphroaig Triple Wood in duty free when going on holiday the other week. Unfortunately its so nice, that when I came back from a week away, theres only a couple of glasses left from...
Lagavulin Distillers Edition for me. Simpley adore the stuff :drunken:
Got several bottles stashed away at the moment as well as a couple on the go. Got 3 of the previous 2 editions each and 1...
