Coffee spat...! Agree with the in a box/drawer - take your time
Singapore - there a couple of weeks ago and saw a Platona in the wild - just a guy and his kids wandering along one of the main shopping streets. It's very safe!
Double this. Be circumspect!
Bold combo with that strap but the dial absolutely lovely
+1. Great description thanks - but as with so many things modern Rolex this just does not smell like a DIY job whatsoever...designed that way on purpose I'm sure :wink-new:
You don't! Apparently removing the bezel on the ceramics wrecks the derlon/nylon base bit that provides the notches when turning the bezel and it's single install only. Not as practical for cleaning...
Plenty of washing up liquid and hold it vertical under running tap while rotating the bezel gently. Mine got full of very fine gulf of mexico sand/silt and similarly stuck.
You can get dental...
Modest...:wink-new:
Just absolutely beautiful
Yep that romance thing connected to marvels of engineering for me. Like watching Impossible Engineering on Discovery etc - pushing the limits. And something about the fact it's mechanical rather than...
Lovely work and photos. Thanks for the write up
I used to while away time in airports trying them on. They are so different in shape. Never felt able to pull off the size though

But if it's dress watch one of the vintage Omega options?
The great buy at list comment had me confused until I looked at the reseller market! But it's still £30k for a watch with a rubbery strap...
Love the time zone function execution though. If it's...
Very nicely put. I initially viewed (and still do) the whole business of having a quality watch as a small antidote to modern disposable culture. The value and status thing is clearly there but not...
A less nice girly bracelet - chortle :congratulatory:
Yes they are local to me. Had a basic 2824-2 Oris service done some time back. Not the cheapest but very straightforward to deal with.
They will get the watch in and do a full work estimate without...
Really great. Thanks for posting
Absolutely get the concept - but not convinced by the result...something along the light/dark issue others have mentioned
Think it's just the way the light is casting on the photo?? - not a modified watch....?
Just a standard ETA 2824 in my date pointer still going nicely after 20 yrs. Has had a couple of services but amplitude etc still excellent runs to about 10s/day. The acrylic crystal can be a bit...
