If you're looking for a vintage silver player, I'd say you ought to grab yourself a CD16. It's great. It's substantial. They don't make em like that anymore.

Oh boy, I'm getting that familiar feeling that signifies imminent damage to the old bank account. :devilish:
So, any idea what the damage might be?
Edit
Missed MattH's post.
Omega OEM croc straps for the Speedy Pro do taper to 16mm, and are very expensive. The Omega deployant buckle is expensive too, but the combination is superb IMO. That said, the Di-modell Rally is...
I’ve only skimmed through this thread, God knows I’ve read enough Zilla threads to last me a lifetime. The comment that stands out IMO is the one about Zilla being one of the most influential posters...
I'd pay the asking price just to be able to take a hammer to it. :angry5:
I believe Goldring make one that should be around £300. IIRC, Eddie has one and he likes it. Budget 'tables are OK, but are usually let down by the budget cartridges that go with them IMO.
Nah, all the fishes will think it's a fake. Better use your oil-filled Casio. Now that'll impress them. :welcoming:
In a well-matched system, good speaker cables can make a difference. Those who don't think so haven't tried the right cables, or their system isn't analytical enough. Having said that, good cables...
Well, Kessler should stick to what he does best, i.e. reviewing audio equipment and re-issues of old blues/rock'n'roll records. He's right about GS not enjoying the prestige it deserves, though.
Very nice. Get a new crown, stem, and seals by all means, and please lose that strap. A black NATO will do fine, no need for beat-to-$h1t old Heuer-branded bracelets or chinese cheapos.
Would I be...
Thanks for that, top dog. Where would TZ-UK be without your input? :witless:
God, I love this thread. Ol' boy Zilla's insights are always instructive. :playful:
In my experience, traditional ESL/EFL teaching methods were heavy on language base (sometimes excluding pronunciation, sadly) and light on language skills. They piled on the goddamn present perfect...
Right, that does it. I'm picking up another one while they're still available. That'll keep the overbright LED cr@p away for another ten years, at least.
I bought the 3870.50.31 new a couple of years ago - it does look brilliant. Trouble is, the 'gator strap doesn't last forever and when you go looking for a new one... well, you just wish you had paid...
Sounds good. :encouragement:
OK, I'll ask the question that matters. Are those two still on the back-burner, Eddie?
Just out of curiosity, what's Border Force, exactly?
It seems to me that dear old Albion has taken this privatisation craze a bit too far. :bi_polo:
You should have kept one of the SDs that have come and gone. Too late now. :welcoming:
The huge case/tiny movement syndrome is way too obvious on that one. Horrible.
Works fine here. Some icons, some horrible ones. As per usual.
How much is it then? :ambivalence: :dontknow:
