As much as I think Daniel Craig is a good actor, I don't think its right to say Steve McQueen 'looks like Daniel Craig', if anything its the other way round.
Steve McQueen had a 'coolness factor'...

Presumably damage from ingress of water sometime in the past.
I intend to keep it that way, because as you say, patina shows the character of the watch and makes it unique. It also has to remain in my collection because it was a gift.
Pictures of back and...
I can show you my ONLY Lemania

Promised myself I would sell one of my motorcycles. Of course, I could not wait until I found a buyer for the bike, so I bought the watch.
Also broke my promise

And its ironic to think that a Comex/Milsub Rolex would have been handed over (not sold) to the would-be user. An essentially-free watch and now commanding such a price! :)

Obviously asking too much on a watch costing more than three large
Agreed
At least its not digital :)
In my childhood, digitals were the craze ... but wait ... those were the 80s
I use an Aqualung Titan (newer series) and it has served me well. There was a recall of some earlier units some time ago though.
Don't like the orientation of the hour numerals, the 6 looks like a 9 to my eyes. Rolex, Omega ... I much prefer the vintage or at least older watches.
The I beneath the pheon indicates that the watch was issued to the Indian military, possibly when India was still part of the British Empire.
Nice clock ... any chance of a movement shot? My Smiths all have either subsidiary seconds at 12 or else centre seconds.
and his childrens', and their childrens' after that :)
If a Submariner 14060 is an "expensive watch", then I plead guilty because I swim and dive with it.
Do you think that doing above 80km/h in an expensive sports car is a silly idea? :)
Sorry i'm new, explain WABI?
The TZ-UK Glossary is your friend

Regarding wabi, I would service a vintage watch so that I can use it as intended to...
No prizes for guessing what X is

Would Rolex service it?
