Fair do's Chris. Hagwe.
Re boosters, iirc Pfizer have publicly said a booster will likely be needed 6 to 9 months on from the 2nd dose, always seemed a certainty for the older more vulnerable...
I think paw3001 already deconstructed that one pretty comprehensively tbf Chris...test it against 2 x Pfizer 21 days apart, that's more useful imho as that's how it's been jabbed elsewhere...if...
That was my understanding, Rod seems to have got it back to front. Pfizer for now does appear to be the best in class and as the Israelis have proven does dramatically cut transmissability.
That sucks about your poor treatment but re the 2nd jab given you don't normally get headaches but have had one for most of a month I reckon it's wise to be cautious...A mate of mine, 70's, just had...
Not looking for hand wringing/ or a row, just makes for interesting viewing in isolation and against the bigger picture, is all.
Keep on jabbin':encouragement:
We agree no single interval fits all vaccines but that's exactly what was originally blanket applied by Gov/JCVI, 12 weeks apart whether Ox AZ or Pfizer/ Moderna...iirc on the basis 12 weeks...
I guess we all are to one degree or another, though GB's certainly gone/ goes boldly where the ROW haven't, kudos for that at least. From what I've read over here the authorities were watching GB's...
Not sure I follow the reasoning/ science! of how the powers that be have chopped/ changed the 12 weeks now to 8/9 weeks...Not looking for a row here but is nobody else observing this and thinking...
You could be right, I was admittedly assuming on the strength of Mr Smiths reference to more risk of being stabbed along with the other factors. Not to say over 30' s don't also fall victim.
But they were offered the choice and told there´d be plenty by Hancock himself, want to bet there´ll be quite a lot of refusniks especially among the most at risk groups, not a few of those who´re...
From the horses mouth..
´´But if you want to you can have the pfizer or moderna jab instead´´
And
There is "more than enough of the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine" for the 8.5 million adults under 30...
But didn´t the Health Minister say folks under 30 if concerned could have one of the mrna vax´s...I thought I heard him say that...
If he's under 30 wouldn't he be entitled to choose Pfizer or moderna?
We seem to be doing alright here in Spain, for the present, my region Murcia seems to be holding it's own re infection, with vax's almost 6.5 per cent nationally now completely dosed, sure a couple...
Well that's good, reassuring to hear.
Can't speak for all Yuuurp but for what it's worth the advice just changed in Spain as regards the Vaccine that shall not be named, it's only being given to the plus 60's who presumably because of...
Hope you all also remember to keep a mask on in situations where it is required, Prof. Whitty said it's for the best still because of the uncertainty regards possibilty even that vaccinated folks can...
Our little lads best mate came over today for lunch, he got his first Pfizer last week due to being on the disabled/risk register, 16 years old, he didn't feel a thing he said, but that's youth for...
Interesting thanks, didn't Whitty already predict thousands more deaths in the UK even allowing for the greater quantity of single doses over the relative certainty of the double dose vaccination...
I heard via my Mrs, she's American and so tends to follow their news fairly closely and has elderly/vulnerable parents over there who definitely recently received their Pfizer Jabs 21 days apart,......
Bang on schedule, congrats PC...now just wait a couple of weeks and you've got about 95 per cent immunity and considerably lower likelihood of infecting another should you get it, this according to...
One of the Pfizer Professors was asked last week about the decision to wait 12 weeks for Jab 2, the booster, he was unequivocal that as a scientist to wait 4, 5, maybe even 6 weeks might still be OK,...
When the booster dose of Pfizer is administered correctly, so 21 days after the first, it reportedly gives 80 per cent efficacy against even the Saffer strain.
Good news PC.
