This is a very nice looking watch.
That said - and i’m sure there are probably several reasons why this is wrongheaded - I do struggle with it being £800 more than a BB58 on a similar fabric...

Does everyone not blast their lume before bed, so they can nod off gazing beatifically into the soft green glow?
Just me then.
I use a nitecore tube UV...
I’ve always been slightly gutted I didn’t pick one up new. I liked the non camo, very under the radar.
Got a copy from Hearst’s today. £6
Very nice. So many of these look like they’ve been dropped in a bag of marbles and thrown against a wall. Or polished with a belt sander. Lovely watch :0)
I used customer.service@harrods.com
Had to follow up in the first instance but they were very nice and easy to deal with.
These are really nice. The air king, the x-33 and the navitimer I have particular soft spots for so it’s really interesting to see them in a collection.
That’s a bummer. I did it over email so at least you get a name and something in writing confirming. Might be worth a follow-up just so you’ve got a bit of paper to wave around if needed.
The movement probably costs customer brands a lot more than it does partner brands. Can’t be having customers out-compete on price for the same functionality.
Conjecture obvs :)
Mines sat at a UPS pickup point. I’ll nip out and pick it up this afternoon.
I love the look of the Q Timex but don’t like the day/date so this was an instant yes for me. Looking forward to getting...
The tag boutique in Chelmsford (run by goldsmiths) offered me the CAW211P which is the blue dial one with the crown on the left at around £750 off. That was late 2019.
I’ve seen the same model...
I think it’s great. Love the colours and the caseback. It’s out of my price range but that’s ok. Looking forward to hopefully seeing the arrivals on here.
I know it’s a finger in the air job, but...
I’ve tried these on in James Porter & Son. They are very cool.
I think it’s an interesting term. For me it’s subjective and based on where you are in the journey.
When I was a boy the Timex my dad bought for me and put on my wrist felt like my first...
That SBBN is very very cool. I love the IWC too.
I’ve seen a lot of GMTs in the window the last month or so - all strap/bracelet options. And the (very) occasional BB58 but only on the leather.
I do wonder how long (or not) the wait for a 58 of...
I went on the list in June. Wasn’t too difficult to do - just a short to-and-fro on email. They quoted 6-12 months so i’ll blast off on here as and when they give me a call.
Seiko Sarb033 when the Carrera went for a service, then a Speedmaster FOIS.
A few questionable pickups since then. On the hunt for a 2254.50 seamaster now.
I have a boggo black dial 39mm carrera. It’s basic but I love it.
I get the red text thing - they would look better I think, but overall still great looking watches. I came to seiko late, so the prospect logo doesn’t bother me at all.
That’s four seikos this...
I trundled into mappin and web in Glasgow pre lockdown - when this was a little harder to find - and they happened to have one in the safe. I tried it on but i just had to give it up as too big.

I’m at a similar decision point to you, and of the watches you listed I like the explorer. The aqua terra you can just walk in and buy though, which is nice - very pretty movement if you enjoy a...
Lordy. Guilt instantly alleviated!
There’s some really interesting stuff in there too. Good work OP :smile-new:
I’ve also found dealers reluctant to negotiate. I was given 20% off my FOIS when I bought it in 2019 but have struggled to achieve any meaningful discount on a moonwatch since June (when I finally...
I really like these. I tried one on in mappin and Webb in Glasgow and it just felt too long across my wrist. I was still tempted though. You see them in the window a fair amount.
