Originally to make automatics thinner.
I'll have the plexi replaced anyway, because of damage. I'll have them check for a flat version, though this doesn't look too bad. Note that the case is much thicker than the Hamilton shown.
Yes, 60's watch. The original case back is (super slender) too thin to convert it into a display back. Personally I like the 1321 movement somewhat better esthetically (slightly bigger rotor).

Had to get my kid out of his bed after afternoon nap... ;) - You are not very patient are you?
Its gilted, 36 mm. Crystal seems original, has some tension cracks around the perimeter.

I really like these 34 mm EPSA Compressor watches. The three below are Glycine (one is produced for a Belgian jeweller)

I personally find the ceramic insert too 'shiny'/'glossy' for a toolwatch / military inspired watch.

I find there's one design flaw in these Seatime watches: the fully lumed seconds hand... It's €1050 now on the site without the steel bracelet (which seems gone from the strap section as well). I...
I really like my Stowa Seatime (though it's been going up in price at the Stowa site). It's not a hommage (which I like) and does not attempt to look lie well known divers as well. The steel bracelet...

I still find this one stunning... Missed out (on this exact watch) when it came up for sale, though.

Had this Traversetolo (not the 'vitre', not the 8-days version) for a while... Sold it (back to the previous owner) after buying a PAM118 (and a Stowa Seatime @ 43 mm). Too many big watches.
