Is there something different with the X33? If not you only need the right tool to open and close the back, changing batteries is pretty easy on a regular quartz watch. The X33 is not even watertight...
I went from everything mechanical to quartz bit by bit... A quartz watch might go dead every 2, 5 or 10 years but automatics would stop in 48 hours. Some go weeks without wearing and I can't have...
I'm not sure but it gets it right. When it gets such a number it "says suspected spam" and it never failed. It's probably the same principle as an email spam filter.
You could do an experiment with a friend. Block his number on your phone and then use his to call your number.
My phone IDs the call as spam and you can confirm it afterwards. If the spamer calls again, he/she will just get a "This number is not currently available" message

Yea, the Alpha is the obvious choice... Not sure what this is but it oddly looks good to me :hurt:...
You were right about the Timex BTW.. It's less than 35mm as seen on the third photo... https://www.watchuseek.com/threads/timex-mk1-36mm-camper-tw2r58300.5291777/
Sorry about that, never crossed...
These Timex Campers? https://www.ebay.com/p/9006560330
Agree with Citizen, the Tough Ray Maers (mime is the RMC version) is as close as it gets to my perfect watch.
Had one of those in black. Sold it because it is a bit too big and I HATE with a...
Thanks but I really wanted quartz... those old Seiko quartz divers are beautiful but hard to find in good condition and don't go for beater money. And if they are too nice, they'll end up being safe...
Hi, I'm looking for a cheap small beater quartz dive watch along the lines of the generic 200m ones sold under Divex, Apeks, Aqualung, etc. I'm having a bit of a problem finding the right case,...
Citizen Ray Mears is what? Explorer? Adventure?
Oh, ok, got it!
It is... look at cover photo with the watch and the opened case. You can see the bracelet with the Smiths' engraved buckle :eagerness:
Seller mentions an Alpha riveted bracelet and the original one is in the box :eagerness:
Hey Jason, really like that! I still love my "Murph-grandaddy". AFAIK the Murph is the dial and hands of this watch on a 42mm Kakhi field case. But it works so well!

I'm yet to find the right one but, so far, the best one I've owned is the Braun 5517 (BT3040). I have a more expensive and advanced Braun model but this is the better one IMO. Had several Philips and...
I hope I'm done in the sense of not visiting the SC three times a day and having automatic alert lists on ebay, etc... and I haven't bough a watch for a while now. But no, nowhere near done nor...
Following to see a pic.
Hi Dave, doing OK! :joyous: And you?
I've been trying to stay away from this whole watch thing for a while, and part of that is changing straps but keeping the watches. I used to have a lot of watches on Hadley Roma Cordura straps and...
Would the answer be different in Australia?
But you always should do it wrong... if you do it right, then the wife is no longer the only one qualified in the house to do that sort of stuff! :wink-new:
