The new Tiger 1200 models have to be worth a shout.
I realised yesterday that I'm going to need my bike to stay in storage for another month. The works in the garden and the side/front of the house won't be finished until the last week of May, and...
:coolskull:
Well, that might be a bit quick…
Thanks very much. I’m quite excited by both prospects too!
Just ordered a 12'x18' concrete garage. Delivery and fitting scheduled for 23rd May.
I just run the Bonnie at present, but at some point I'm going to add more of a tourer (likely a Tiger 900 GT Pro, which I'ved owned before). Just need the garage/shed I have in hand to make it...
Yeah, I think that's the way I'll go.
I really hope so, Dave!
Thanks Greg. A garage would definitely be a more useful option.
Yes, I've been thinking that myself :sneakiness:
Well, I've arranged to pick my bike up on Friday week... I think it very unlikely that I'll not be able to operate the gear shifter, even if I have to raise my foot to change up instead of my toes.

^^^ No question at all for me - got to be the FE. It’ll have a fantastic cult fan base and will always be special.
You may find this interesting!
Don’t remind me!
My first bike (circa 1978) was a CG125, and I rode it from Norwich to Golders Green and back every weekend. In the winter I knew I’d come off at some point as it was often black ice most of the way...
I’m actually quite worried that the garage will open up all sorts of risks in terms of giving in to temptation (at least it will stop me having to sell mine in order to try another)! That said, I do...
No, I’m just looking at another option altogether. It’ll only be a factor if I don’t proceed with either a garage (which'll be about 12x16ft) or a large shed due to cost, but I think that’s unlikely....
That’s a very good point, and yes it does. I need it to be less than 7.25ft in total.
My bike is currently in storage so I can't check myself, but I urgently need the equivalent of the lug to lug distance for a T120. In other words, the total length from the outermost edge of one tyre...
Ouch. What did you do?
I can only wish... missing getting on the bike like crazy, but it's going to be a while yet :fatigue:
That sounds like a good idea to me, Matt.
The issue with the R9T was that I just couldn’t get my arms comfortable for more than about half an hour. Conversely, and despite the clip-ons, I had no issues whatsoever on the TTR.
More comfortable that the R9T for sure.
I know which I prefer...

Never a truer word. Having owned both, the TTR was perhaps less perfect (or perhaps not) but a lot more fun!
Errr…
Bike porn!!!
