Er, well obviously I get that, the point being (and maybe this area is different) normally around where I live the bollards are deemed sufficient and there are no "No solo motorcycle" signs. So I...
Well it's crystal clear what they are trying to achieve, which is mopeds/scooters/motorbikes tear-arsing their way through, probably Deliveroos or the like using it as a short cut.
I've long...
We don't all have a gazillion jackets!
I have three which for me is quite shocking really!
My Dainese leather jacketsI bought in mid '90s (along with the matching trousers).
Then I have a...
So I bought a CRF250L a few weeks ago.
I really enjoyed it in the first week I had it, but my main issue was it felt strangled at the top end.
Usual mods for these are holes in the airbox to...
Took the CRF out tonight, blast round some lanes then popped into Sainsbury’s to get an emergency supply of cat food [emoji23]
It was getting a bit chilly by this point so I put on the grip...
Picked up the CRF250L today.
At first it felt a bit strange not being used to it, the high position and big leverage from the bars making it feel quite flighty, but once I started to get used to...
Well as per my post above, I am looking to do more off road, mainly green lane pootling, just bought a dirt (excuse the pun) cheap CRF250L so we'll see how it goes. Quite excited I must admit...
Actually that's what I was planning to do, but quite a few of the byways near me are pretty benign so would be doing those alone ad-hoc every now and then. But you never know when you are going to...
Cheers will take a look at the Itchy Boots videos. Good point re riding on my own - one key point is being able to pick it up when (not if!) I drop it...
Does anyone have any experience of the Honda CRF250l?
We moved into a village in the countryside surrounded by byways and tracks and I fancy doing a bit of green-laning.
Budget is very limited...
Jacket and leather trousers are these, suspect the gloves are the same, helmet has long gone. Pic is from over twenty years ago, how I miss that bike!

Helmet: 1
Leather jacket: 1
Leather trousers: 1
Jeans: 1
Gloves: 2 but only use one
Boots: 2 - One to wear with the leathers, one with jeans
That's it, not trying hard enough obviously!
Bloody electrics!
So the blade needs an MOT and typically, the front left indicator has stopped working.
It has an after-market mini indicator fitted that integrates into the fairing and looks...
Now that’s how a Guzzi should look!

Gorgeous Tony, enjoy :eagerness:
So further to me getting the Blade started yesterday, finally went on my first ride of the year.
Been thinking of changing it for something lighter but today I was reminded how good it is, not...
Hallelujah!

That's been hard work!
On the plus side I have managed to bypass the ancient immobiliser, which wasn't at fault in the end but probably didn't...
I find my 130hp (ish) '98 Fireblade mind bogglingly fast at times ,so what these 200+hp bikes must be like Lord knows!
Anyway Andy, it looks stunning, enjoy 👍
I think that test and Dave's suggestion plus check the fuse I haven't checked yet are my remaining options before I declare myself flummoxed!
I'm still deeply suspicious of the immobiliser, but on...
I don't think it's rodents, there's no evidence of that (I live in a thatched cottage and we have a lot of pest control not least plenty of local cats!)
The starter motor relay isn't clicking at...
Agree that's a possibility although obviously that kills a running bike and from the wiring diagram I'm not convinced it's involved.
Bloody electrics!
Having a nightmare getting the Blade going. As usual, as it currently lives outside under a cover, I removed the battery once I'd stopped riding it for the winter and left it on...
It's of the reasons I am so fond of my Fireblade, last or the carbureted models.
I will no doubt regret it when it runs out of fuel and I've left it on reserve 🙄
My niggling doubt with this is that I found my Speed Twin (which is a bit lighter than the T120) a bit of a chore to move about whereas my Street triple, some 40-50kg lighter was a doddle. I know...
