message within the eBay site (under "my messages").
Just to update on this - I told my insurers there was nothing in my insurance t&c's that excluded online-ordered cars, and they agreed to pay me in full for a new polestar 2. Literally a couple of...
I've sold and bought a few items on eBay recently, and got this message from eBay a couple of days ago:
Hi
We had a payment initiated by you for £4.96.
Since this charge has resulted in a...
Thank you all for your kind advice. I have checked my policy and it says "if a car is not available, we will pay the market price". There is nothing else in the policy that excludes cars that are...
I was involved in an accident recently and the third party's insurance company has accepted full liability. As my car was under 12 months old, my insurers initially said they would work on a New Car...
Should make it clear I bought the watch pre-owned from WF. It's WF that have yet to reply to my queries. Haven't contacted Zenith yet, although the age of the watch should mean it's still under...
It's been over a week and they still haven't contacted me. Just sent them another email describing the issue.
It does not bode well for their warranty/aftercare services.
I'm guessing this is a warranty/service job? Bought from Watchfinder with 24m warranty.

Mine just arrived. Nice little thing. Seems well made and with sapphire crystal. Definitely not worth the full RRP of £695 though but makes a nice beater. Weighs almost nothing on the wrist....
I've just bought one on eBay that is supposed to be mint, for £230, which puts it in Moonswatch territory.

That Zenith Pilot Bronze at £2.6K is a steal. I would've had that were it not for the fact that I got the Chrono version last week (for a lot more, I might add).
You should wear it on your wrist, otherwise asking for trouble.
If you thought that was bad, check out below, courtesy of eBay. It's a 1920's Rolex pocket watch movement that has been re-cased and (re-dialled, presumably). Sold for 2k.

Came across this horror on eBay. Only one of the 6 crowns is functional.

I always found these reissues really flimsy and insubstantial. Part of the retro charm, I suppose.
To say I am excited is an understatement.

That's my view, that the eBay authentication works to protect the seller, since the buyer can't claim they were sent a fake watch.
Maybe it's a bad angle. If not, it's unforgivable on a watch of this price point. I've only owned a planet ocean in the past, do Omega have form for this sort of thing?

helpful to know, thanks.
As a rough rule of thumb (if there is such a thing in this case) how much more do Watchfinder offer on a trade-in/exchange, versus a straight sale?
For example, if they offer £1000 to buy my watch,...
That is next on my grail list - did you by any chance consider the Bronze version with the slightly older movement and solid caseback? I'm assuming yours is the display caseback.
Check "their" facebook group. The whole company just seems to be one fella called Gav, who sells Tag Heuers online. No physical location/store details given.
oh.
