Re sand coloured Ashby, I bought one off a TZUK member a couple of weeks ago. Lightweight and ideal in this weather but i wouldn't say so for dog walking.

I have Haglofs, Berghaus and Tog for wet weather dog walking but if its dry, Barbour wax is best.
The only time I've had a tear was getting over a gate and that was easily repaired with a patch....
