Difficult to tell from that pic, the camera distorts the size at that distance. Take a picture of yourself wearing it in a mirror and then zoom into your wrist. In my experience that’s the only real...

As well as eBay, it’s worth looking at what watches are going for at straight watch auction sites. That’ll show you what people are actually paying for certain models in the real world. Depending on...
Yes I'm a fan of Panerai, they used to make some solid watches imo, but all the good ones - for me - were 44mm minimum and wore too big for me. I wish they'd make more in 40mm.
Thanks for the great pics. I've looked at Zenith before, I like the different colour sub dials. Planning a trip to London this week so will take a look in Watches of Switzerland/Selfridges.
Thanks for the info, I had assumed that 45mm might be too big for my 7 inch wrist, so good to know the Ti version wears slightly smaller than one would think. I'm going down to London later this week...
Exactly this.
Thanks for all the great suggestions, it led to me spending - yet another - Sunday hunched over a laptop staring at endless online reviews of watches.
A ceramic sub is still in my...
Thanks for this link, really appreciated. That blue dial Moser on black rubber strap is lovely.
Thanks for all these brilliant suggestions. I like the look of the GO range and the Blancpains, although I wonder if the FF will be too big. The Bathyscape looks interesting. Didn't realise those...
This could have been titled 'talk me out of buying a sub date'.
I'm looking for a daily watch to wear, probably not a dress watch, I normally plod around in jeans and a sweatshirt.
I've got a...
Perhaps I'm missing something but that price isn't bad at all for a used steel and gold sub, as long as it has box and papers. Looking online you'll pay a lot more from any other dealer, not to...
What news please? On this model?
I don’t think Omegas feel as nice in the hand or on the wrist as Rolex models, generally, so I’d vote for the DJ out of these two, although 36 too small in my experience.
Personally I think it looks a little small but then I don’t like smaller watches. I tried a 36mm datejust a while back and wanted to love it but always thought it was too small for me (7 inch wrist)....
Another glowing recommendation to add to the thread - I bought a watch from Subdial recently, arrived the following day, watch in fantastic condition along with all the paperwork and service...
Ah I see. Nice watch. How long did it take then to get your first? Was it one of the more basic models? I’ve tried a few times to get even a meeting with them and they just don’t bother to reply.
That’s the point isn’t it. You’ve got an existing relationship with the brand, assuming you bought your previous two watches direct from them and your third watch still took four years to arrive....
Thanks for the info, much appreciated. They all look great.
Hi Jon, lovely straps … I’m guessing they’re all from Panerai? I’m after either a blue or tan suede strap for a Radiomir and when I contacted the boutique in London last week they said they had...
Slightly off the point but I’ve been looking into WoS used Rolex and Panerai recently. Yes the prices are high but in some cases you’re getting a watch that has had major components replaced - dials,...
And of course just like the RM boutique around the corner, there aren’t actually any watches to look at or handle (that might have changed now). I ended up trying on the manager’s CS. Which was...
No worries at all. I was surprised that there’s really no difference between those Radiomir’s apart from 2 grand … Anyway, happy hunting, there are some cracking older Panerai’s around at the moment...
So those watches look very similar! They have the same movements even. I couldn’t work it out so I called Panerai in London and they said the two watches have a different case finishing and different...
I went past the new boutique on my way to Patek the other day and popped in. Met the manager who explained they weren’t officially open yet so he suggested I email him and we could set up a proper...

I tried on the black dial yesterday at my local AD, really lovely looking thing. They had it in for another customer but let me take a quick look. Dial texture very visible in the light, looks more...
