I had the back off my Steeldive SD1970 to look at the movement and to regulate it, and it pressure tested to 3 Bar afterwards.
My pressure tester can only do 5 Bar, but I tend to only use it at 3...
As Ruggertech said earlier, cheap movement purchased in bulk, cases machined on equipment that long since paid for itself, and all assembled in a low wage/cost economy, and there’s your answer.

How do they make these for the money?
It did look very well made, not sure if a Seiko movement should have any Seiko markings on it to be fair?

The watch itself I’d say is difficult to fault in fit form and function...
