Not sure what it's made from but just reading a review on monochrome and it says it's not a full ring but small sections placed on top.

Just got this save the ocean Samurai which I had been looking at for a few weeks before giving in.

I got this from my dad on my 21st birthday. As you can see it's been worn a lot. Just put a new strap on it last night. I'm still loving it and it's nice to get it back on my wrist....
