To be fair Dave, I have heard that and I haven’t actually ridden one, I think Tony said that his was a comfortable ride for him. I had a Triumph Sprint ST 1050 and even that became difficult for me.

If you can cope with the riding position, I can’t see past that Thruxton FE, what a looker!
Neither my knees or wrists could cope for long these days but I wish they could!
Looks Ace!
Were you never tempted to call it a Throbber?
Thanks Tony, things are ok and I have my head around everything now. It’s not the worst it could have been but it has given me a slap around the chops.
It’s good to see you posting and hopefully...
I love this thread and am really looking forward to seeing the end result of Enochs efforts, that looks lovely.
I’ve spent a bit of time lately getting a shed / workshop / bolt hole sorted for me...
I’ve been looking for something similar myself and thought this looked ok but I haven’t got any further than looking. I would also be interested in any real life experiences....
Same here, I bet I was wrong!
Love it there Tony, one of the first places the instructors took us when I took my lessons. Me and a mate were there a few weeks back, a cup of tea and a bacon roll always goes down well.
That’s all sorted and done. All of that had to be in place to apply using form V55/5. From what I understand there are a small percentage that are selected for inspection rather than just issued a...
Has anyone had experience of registering an import? I applied for registration a couple of weeks ago and received notification today from DVLA that it needs to be inspected. Is this likely to be...
Yeah, I’ve spoken to Charlie a few times. He does have some nice stock through.
Thanks Steve,
Noted and appreciate the advice.
There a couple of bikes I have in mind but nothing decided. I’m edging towards a smaller bike more for ease and manageability more than anything....
I wish Duncan!
Next up will be a tiddler as a bit of a restoration project. I’ve never got my teeth into anything more than some pretty basic spannering, so I fancy the challenge.
Food for thought there, I presumed mine wouldn’t be suitable being Matt. I like the idea of the full treatment on the T120.
Without a doubt.
Thanks Tony, birth year bike and you know the saying, definitely looking better than me!
We are off to Norfolk tomorrow and I have been pleading my case for Kate to take the...
I’ve finally had a chance to enjoy the recent better weather. Today I finished tinkering, fitted new plugs, plug caps, points, plate and condensers.
The old girl is running as sweet as a nut now....
I honestly don’t think that you can go wrong with either approach Tony, eminently customisable or stone cold classic.
I have kept everything that I have swapped on the bike, I have a sneaking...
Thanks Tony,
I’m really happy with it, there are a few more farkles that I could add and there’s always a mod or two that would be nice but overall, it is where I want it. It is just so nice to...
There really is nothing quite like it to blow the cobwebs away

I very nearly bought the 100 piece as a smaller, easier to manage set. Currently comes with a free advanced screwdriver set as well as the trade 25% off, I still might do it. I’m not sure you can...
One of the best things I added to mine. Shame about the welded pipes to the cat though. Motone now do a full exhaust to eliminate that now.
If I’m around I will definitely do that.
Shame about the socket set Tony, mine has been fine, was I right about the weight though!! Good shout on the smaller version, especially if you can still get it with that discount. I think they are...
I’ve got this same set, it’s a very comprehensive but if kit and good quality. It is a bit heavy to lift though!!
That makes sense, I hadn’t even considered the affect on the drop. Food for thought.
