Wow, it seems quite a few of you tested the water so to speak.....I have been tempted myself but the current £1200 for the SPB151 new, just seems too much cash for not too much watch.
I may pick...
Resurrecting this thread as many comments from over a year and a half ago regarding possible price drops on both the SPB151 & SPB153 after time on the market.
So even two years after their...
Great photo, really captures the dial colour......looks fantastic.
Looks great but at 39mm (I know Steinhart only do 39mm & 42mm case size) with that dial size, it looks as though it would wear more like a 41mm/42mm and with the standard long L2L length would just...
wow, very nice pieces indeed...I do like a 34mm case and have a couple of vintage Smiths in this size which I have no issues wearing on my 7.25 inch wrists.
I usually gravitate to watches between...
Rolex Explorer 124270 would be my choice....has always been a grail watch (all previous references apart from the 214270) for myself.
Looks just like my 36mm SUR315P1 minus the date complication :untroubled:
Just upgraded the strap on my recently accquired Seiko 6105 8110 mod with an Uncle Seiko "Chocolate bar strap" (still £30) which arrived next day from Uncle Seiko UK, can't beat that for customer...
I do think the BB58 looks great on a Jubilee however I haven't purchased one for mine as I am not a fan of the polished (or any) centre links, I do however have a Jubilee (non polished centre links)...
Excellent report, some really interesting pieces there, away from your mainstream brand names......thanks for posting.
Just picked up a Seiko mod with the NH35 movement, its consistently running at 0 seconds per day but with a beat error of 2.2, should I be concerned.
Just noticed that the Jubilee bracelet is now listed on the website to purchase seperately so guessing it will be available at the next store opening....
...
Same here, I do like the "Mission to the Moon" model....definitely giving off both Omega & Bulova vibes.
I have tried on the white dial quartz (three hander) and thought that the 40mm size did wear larger that the specifications suggested, more like a 41mm than a 40mm....unfortunately I was on the fence...
Some very nice pieces shown and an interesting topic as well, thanks chaps...
[QUOTE=redhed18;5945546]I'm not sure that I see how this works out...
Eddie is too busy already packing boxes of his 200-ish watch sales every few weeks to need to add bracelet sales to the mix.
...
Not sure if anybody has yet mentioned Steinhart (do they qualify as a microbrand), excellent well made swiss made watches and yes, some are more of a homage than others but even so, best bang for...
I agree and mentioned this earlier in the thread....the Crown diameter could be increased whilst reducing the overall thickness not only would this look great on this model but on all of the Everest...
I guess this is a question for Eddie, are there any plans to supply the new non rivet stainless steel bracelet seperately in the future as with the current rivet style for the Everest at all.
I...
For myself, two pieces a Smiths Commando PRS-47 with acrylic crystal and a Festina Extra 1948 reissue F20248/2.....both excellent watches, especially the Festina for the price point after picking one...
I really like the look of this model especially the crown, I personally feel like the current Everest version would benifit from a crown of this size and style as opposed to currrent Hamiltion field...
I really like the 1957 reissue athsetics but absolutely love the 36mm size of the previous model......it would be the smaller for myself.
Looks really great, how did the swapped Everest movement fit in the Commando case, were there any issues also, did you keep the original crown & stem with each movement or did you swap so that there...
thanks buddy....the wait now begins :joyous:
