I have 25 at the moment. My main focus is IWC so I have 15 of those.

I don’t know enough about UK prices but have a look at https://www.jomashop.com/watches-for-men.html
Remember that your wife will have to pay VAT and duty on the watch when she returns to the UK.

You can bring goods worth up to 390 Pounds into the UK from non-EU countries without tax/VAT. Goods worth more are taxed. Doesn't help you to have bought it at full retail price in an ordinary shop....
When you sell a Patek Calatrava and buy an IWC Ingenieur you should make a profit!
I did actually make a profit on the Calatrava compared to what I bought it for.
That's fine when it goes that...
Absolutely lovely Ingenieur from the good old days when an Ingenieur had a soft iron inner case like the original 666 and 866.
Lovely collection with two of my favorites: WWW and Mark 11.

Congratulations ! It’s a lovely watch. I found mine on a holiday trip to Seville, Spain....
I have my Omega Seamaster from 1959. I was 10 years old when I got that!https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170915/fbaef4455b9902d6b238c53e573f94ef.jpg

It would have to be a cal 321 Speedmaster to command that price level. The 145.022 is a cal 861.

IWC presented a number of new Ingenieur watches at the "Members Meeting at Goodwood" which took place at the same time as the Basel show. A little bit confusing perhaps but you can read about the new...
Congratulations on a very rare complete set. I have been looking for a black dial 666/866 for a long time. Hard to find - and with papers fantastic!
I am sure you are familiar with these two...
I was there yesterday. The shop "Air Watch Center" has a nice selection. Prices seem pretty standard to me. I didn't try to bargain but that might well be possible. Enjoy your trip.

I have got the Stop2Go version. Great watch. Fun history. Very accurate. Good quality / price relation. Original band is not very nice though.
JK...

Very interesting watches designed by a young Gerald Genta in 1954. I trust you a familiar with this website:

I have one of these dinosaurs. It's a big watch. The battery life is short. I would say less than a year. Omega does not service these watches any longer. I had mine serviced at STS in Essex. My...
Have a look at the big auction houses and their results. Antiquorum, Sotheby's and others. You will have to register to get a look at their prices. These expensive watches are not sold that often.

Your friend is looking in the wrong places if he has been offered a Patek watch at that price!
You have to walk down Rue du Rhone to see all the watch shops. I will also suggest a visit to three of the brand boutiques: Vacheron Constantin, 7 Quai de l’Ile, 1204 Geneva. Patek Philippe, 41 Rue...

The IWC line of watches might not appeal to everybody, but the fact is that IWC has done very well under CEO George Kern.
I own quite a few of their watches and have had no problems with them.

What about this one in WG? It's seems a good price for an automatic.

Wrong IMHO. Only watch nerds like us think like that. Most people buy a watch and keep it.
