Hmm. I really like my new Dievas Vortex, despite having the easiest-to-scratch bezel insert I've ever seen.
For a watch that size, the titanium case certainly makes wearing it a lot more pleasurable.
Sadly, I've already scratched two of the lugs on mine during a strap-changing accident. :(
Anybody know how to work out scratches in titanium?
A plastic Swatch with the rubber protector-thingy atop the dial?
I like your subtle use of light on this photo. Very nice. :D
Adding more faces to it does not a better watch make.
And I'm sure the compass is fully functional.
Ive just been looking at the vortex, very very nice(with tan strap), I didnt think they were out yet??
Yes, they came out late last fall, I believe. I quite like my own, but wish I'd had...
Had an entire thread on this one, but here's my (new) one-and-only German model:

I'd not really heard much about Dievas until a few months ago myself- and after a bit of research, discovered that this model is definitely the best looking of their lineup. Some of their others are...
44mm x 14mm
And US$880
Reasonable, (I tell myself) in comparison to the Kobold offerings of similar design.
The crown doesn't bother me at all, but yes, the lack of date always throws me off. I'll just have to make a more conscious effort to remember it, I guess...
The postman dropped this off yesterday...
A couple of quick kitchen countertop shots, with apologies for annoying glares:

...
It's taken me around 6 years to amass 900+ posts.
And I don't often even post in Watch Talk as much anymore...
Guess it means I need to buy more watches.
Perfect! I needed an excuse... :D
I haven't bought a new one since a Sub in '05... (Wow, it's been 4 years!?)
But just put in an order for a Dievas Vortex.
I'm very excited!
Haven't worn my Sub for a few weeks...

Might go with it today.
Photojournalist.
Never tried one for watches, but I carry photo gear in some for work and they're all but bulletproof. I don't see why it wouldn't be excellent for watches.
Did anybody mention a Sub?

Nothing holds value like something that's inherently overpriced...
I would much rather something classic and traditional on my wrist than something that'll be hideously out of place in 5 years...
This thread is really making me miss my SD, which I sold four years ago... :(
I've been wearing my Sub alot of late, to I guess it's my current fave.
That'll look great when I'm behind the wheel of my red and black Veyron. :?
Only when Top Gear isn't on. :)
Actually that pretty much sums it up for me too.
Here in the States, Fifth Gear isn't shown- but I don't know if I'd bother, given how incredible...
What's the typical turnaround for a watch service these days?
Is it always that long? For some reason, I thought a few years back that it was much quicker...
Old press cameras. Seems fitting, eh?
This is funny... Because we in the US never see the TG guys anywhere than on the show. (And I can't get enough of it, personally!)
