I think you've hit the nail on the head with the Seiko Monster, baby or otherwise.
p.s. I wish I had a drinking partner like you.

Nice. Doesn't have any obvious Olympic association (like Olympic hoops on the second hand) which is preferable IMO.
You learn something every day.
If I had his money there are 100 watches I'd wear before the YG DJ. Then again, he probably has 100 others.
Great post, thanks.
Couldn't have said it better myself.
Let's see some pics...
I looked into this when I first bought my Seamaster and came to the same conclusion.
I've always thought it a bit harsh to  in response to such a question. This is a forum after all and I'm sure 90% of the posts have been posted before. You might as well turn the forum into a...
I'm sure they're delighted at being pigeon-holed as 'the autistics' too.
I agree. Well earned WABI.
Nice collection and nice photos too. Congrats.
Tend to agree with Jabba. Having said that, I voted for black so clearly I'm easy.
He has a point. Either that or he's a really bad scammer.
I'm tempted to mention the macro function on his camera to help him out in the future.
I'm no expert but I reckon £2,000 new and half that second-hand depending on age etc.
£750 sounds good.
A copy.
Note: I don't want to be held responsible for starting the whole homage/copy discussion.
I'd have to disagree. At best it's a homage (IMO).
I only ask as the young bloke (25ish) behind the bar last night was sporting a white faced Daytona.
I presume he was working for pocket money.
Judging by the lack of a response you might assume the latter, however, this is one of my grail watches (slightly older GMT version) so I've had an eye open for a while - albeit window shopping. I've...
Sorry, no. Original one for me.
If you bought it new it should be covered by the warranty, no?
p.s. It dropping your watch on the floor makes you an idiot I think you may well be at the end of a fairly long queue.
Wow! Some Breitlings on here I actually like. :thumbright:
The vintage ones look great too.
He does a full 'Omega' clean and service AND includes a 'quality' leather band for £35? Very fishy.
Not so sure about the watch.
I read all the way to the end of p13 for that wet squib of an ending?
Since we're posting pictures... stick with leather and buy another watch that needs a metal strap.

I have a Seamaster of a similar vintage, if a bit older.
It only really works on leather IMO. My is on brown leather given it's a gold watch - much like your pictrue.
Do you ever wish you hadn't started something...?
