Great forum as always. Have had some really helpful replies and PM's and now have the watch packed up and off to a respected repairer who has lots of 5100 experience.
Thanks all
I put my name down via the official registration process on the Rolex site when the Pepsi was launched (Mar 18?). The local AD made contact to acknowledge and I have followed up a few times over the...
Thank you
The day/date mech works, you can set time ok too. Just refuses to tick.
Went to wind my old Porsche Design Orfina chrono the other day and whilst it felt and sounded like it wound ok, it refused to start.
I’ve given it a few movements to see if the auto wind would...

Sorry I didn’t get any decent pics of the clasp.
Here’s one of it in the packet before fitting it up.

I got it from Omega, but AD's can supply too I understand.
£340 for the set
Ok so just popped this on. I say I popped it on, it was a bit of a pain in the arse sorting the end links!
Brand new from Omega 020ST1171633
It's a bit overpriced and yes it's a bit light...
I don’t love the flat bracelet. The rounded links really make the look for me.
Ha fair enough. Thanks for confirming. Saved me searching for one.
What’s the difference between a 1463 as you have and a 1479? They look the same to me.
Agree it looks great. I’m ordering a new 1171 to try out. I agree expensive for what it is, but it’s a...
Yep that works for me
I wonder if I can find one for a sensible price and in good enough condition to mirror my ‘as new’ watch.
Interesting (experienced) insight thank you.
I did wonder about them with all the talk of filing the end links. I expected lighter and a bit rattly given its construction, but not poorly made....
Thanks for the help all. Seems a new (or if someone has a close to new) 1171 is the way forward.
So can any Omega AD supply me with a new 1171 with 633 end links?
Thank you
The 1450 looks lovely and I like the scripted clasp, but fear I will unlikely get a mint one of those for sensible money?
I picked up a new to me modern (2017) Speedmaster Pro Moonwatch today. I’m not a fan of the bracelet they come with and much prefer the look of the 1171 bracelet.
Can someone give a steer on...
Sharp full sets with a fairly recent service are in the region of £2.2-2.3k I’d say, but the quality and price of them does vary quite a bit.
I’ve had mine from new and wouldn’t part with it....
Completely agree on Barcelona. Frightful for theft at night time!
Price has gone up to 5,495 € now
Something odd about this one. Buyer was a little short in his response to questions so I think I’ll give it a miss.
Yep love that. I prefer just about all of the older bracelets over the current one for the Speedy. The clasps are also better suited I feel. Maybe it’s just that I’ve had the Seamaster with the...
Well if the unworn status is true you imagine it also to be unopened and not serviced but who knows.
It seems a bit punchy on price. Makes me think maybe I should just get a recent one and add a...
