This is exactly why my wife has a Boardman electric hybrid - we can now cycle together.
And yes, sometimes it hurts keeping up with her on hills.

Pretty much all Decathlon bikes are good value. That bike is road oriented, but should handle the odd bit of rougher stuff - as mentioned, you might want to consider a gravel or cross bike though.

I posted some pics of this one just after I had finished building it. Well I can now say it is well bedded in and properly sized for me, and I love it.
The Ti frame is just so comfortable on longer...
