Always loved Springbank.
The 12 year old is extremely complex for it's age and i can only imagine what the 24yr old is like.

Always loved Springbank.
The 12 year old is extremely complex for it's age and i can only imagine what the 24yr old is like.
I was just having a read of this.

I'll pick up a bottle of the cask strength Bunna.
I see your point about 2 x GD21.
Won't the GD21 be 27 yrs old in 2022 as the distillery closed in 1995?
I think I will buy a bottle and...
Some good recommendations.
I'm tempted with the Bunna 25, but I'm not convinced it will be worth the £300 price jump from the 12.
I'll probably end up buying the Glengoyne 25 as the...
My go to sherry cask is normally Bunnahabhain 12 as it is such a great whisky for the price, but what is worth splurging on?
A'bunadh was great years ago, but what are the current batches like?
...
and it's so close to Springbank...
I would rate the 12 yr old 9/10 and it's in my top five.
Compared to the 12yr old?
Is there a Springbank 12 among that lot? What are your thoughts on the 10?
Any Glengoyne?
I prefer the 10 yr old by far, as i think the quarter cask is rough. I wouldn't buy it at £20, but that's me.
In fact i wouldn't buy it at all.
I was sorting some stuff out today and came across a couple of boxes of whiskey I had stashed away last year. I never drink whiskey these days as I'm more into my wine, so if any of you connoisseurs...
I have a bottle open now and it is an easy drinker, but nothing really memorable, and nothing that would make me go looking for it.
I was drinking it last night and put a good bit of water in it...
Really? I was speaking to a friend in Japan last week and i asked him the price of a bottle, he checked for me and said the cheapest place selling it is £176.
I wouldn't pay that much for it.
Within the last day i opened three new bottles for sampling..
Blanton's Straight From the Barrel - 9/10 ( Oh my lawdy)
Penderyn - 7/10 (Good flavour, good choice to mature in bourbon and...
Tonight was my last night of adding ice in my Bourbon, it singlehandedly ruins it.
I opened the bottle of High West Rendezvous Rye to notes of caramel, vanilla, cinnamon, mint blah blah... the...
This past month i decided to try out some American whiskey.
As of today, my stash consists of the following bottles
Wild Turkey 101 (unopened)
Tin Cup - rating: meh
Knob Creek - rating:...
I had a bottle of the black that i had been drinking over a period of two weeks and when i finished it i opened the whit. This probably did sway my taste quite a bit, and to be honest as i got...
I think i will be opening one of these very shortly... i vastly prefer it to the white, the white being a bit to sherried for my taste.

One cannot drink just any peasant Bourbon on the first day of the year.
Dalwhinnie 15.
If you like your Bourbon with coke, have you tried Makers Mark?, also great with ginger beer and ice. Not something i drink these days but i did in the past.
Anyway enjoy the Hibiki, it's good...
The Suntory Hibiki is probably enough in itself to make you stop buying Jim Beam or JD unless you really are a hardcore Bourbon drinker.
and not one Glenfarclas was seen that day.
The Monkey Shoulder isn't bad for a blend though.
I would start on the Dalwhinnie and then go straight to to the Laphroaig.
