Is that the Victoria?
The Speyside 12 seems to be well regarded but I've never spotted it in my local Aldi.
I've tried a couple of their unaged single malts. They were just okay. Wouldn't buy again.
The Aberlour 12 is £28 on Amazon at the moment.
Good spots. Bought a couple of those. Thanks.
I'll bet it's lovely with a drop of coke.
I have to say that Nadurra is the only whisky I've ever found to be unpalatable without water. I like whisky with a bit of bite but that is way too strong for me.
It's not just Amazon where that's a problem. The other vendors with review sections are just as bad. They're all full of pointless 'this is smooth' reviews.
Founding out what whisky you like is a...
It seems to have replaced the 12 year old, with a suitable price bump. I'll defiitely be getting some though.
Glenlivet 15 is £37.99 on Amazon. A good price for one of my staples.
The IPA marketing is strange.
When they've finished experimenting I might consider spending thirty quid or so on a bottle, but not before.
I've just bought a backup of Glenlivet 15 for 36.90...
Nice line up for a part-timer.
As a whisky aside, I visited the Whisky Experience tour/exhibition thing in Edinburgh last week. Well worth a visit.

Quinta Ruban is my favorite at the moment, too. I can't get enough of it.
I'm tempted by this one. Please report back.
Thanks. I've been thinking it would be nice to avoid something as 'supermarket' as Laphroig as a gift but the Ardbeg looks good.
Also considering Caol Isla 12 or Scapa Glansa.
My wife has been tasked with buying a 'peaty' whisky for someone's birthday. Around 40 quid.
Being more of a Highland/Speyside man, I'm a bit lost. Anyone spotting any bargains peaty bargains out...
My current crop.

I've just had a bottle arrive today - a bargainous £30 from Amazon, delivered.
Never had it before, but I've just bought some of Tullibardine Sovereign from Sainsbury's for £25.

It's very subtle. Keep at it and it'll eventually reveal itself properly. If I haven't had it for a while I'm sometimes well down the bottle before I 'get it' again (doesn't have to be half a bottle...
Nice one. It's generally been a solid £35 whisky for a while, unless I'm looking in the wrong places. I'm tempted to stock up.
I hope you enjoy it.
If anyone else is a fan, Amazon are flogging Aberfeldy 12 at the moment for £23.99.
I don't remember ever seeing it cheaper.
...
My wife got me an engraved bottle of this as a wedding present.
Lovely.

Good tip. Thanks.
Picked some up at my local Coop this morning.
