I didn’t really consider it. Probably should have. Mike’s never beaten me in a TT. I’m a bit TT’d out though having ridden nearly a thousand of them. It’s akin to banging your head against a brick...
Probably as grateful as he was when I got a front tyre blowout in the Nationals!
Me & Mike Twelves are massive rivals. I’ve won 4 national championships when he’s got silver to my gold. I’ve never stood on a lower step on the podium than him. Last month we competed in the British...
Winner got a Tissot watch which I was coveting 🤪
Haha, mine is the current GBR jersey. Mike Twelves in bronze medal position is wearing a version from an earlier year. Just shows how it could have been designed clearer
Glasgow Scotland...UCI Gran Fondo World Championships yesterday. Came away with Silver medal in the Over 60 age category.….. There was a fast sharp right hander, slightly downhill, 2.8 miles from the...
It’s telling that the National Closed Circuit TT Champs had over 300 entries last year.
I’ve ridden it several times. It’s noticeably harder work without passing traffic
I don't worry about that. I often think that the only thing that worries me about being on a bike is that I'm not worried. Will probably be my epitath.
.....those rear facing camera footages are...
Not this year but I've done the TT twice before. I concluded that closed road TT's weren't for me. After completing nearly 1000 TT's I think I've got used to surfing the bow wave of HGV's, then...
Thanks buddy. Yes, total hip replacement in October 2021. Feels 100% in that hip now…better than my other 60 year old one!
Thanks for the kind words chaps 👍
Tour of Cambridgeshire today...1st place in Masters 60-64 Race :-)
Won what was left of the bunch sprint by several bike lengths.

Nice but the bars need rotating downwards
Same here. Cycle lanes are often poorly designed, covered in crap, suddenly end, have obstacles like bollards in them, make me feel unsafe, and are not conducive to making efficient progress. I...
I had some C-Record Deltas on my road bike back in the early 90’s….they looked awesome, but they weren’t very effective at slowing me down
I always get my LBS to change my tyres, it's easier for me to pull an extra tooth than get involved!
Tubeless with sealant. You might get punctured but you probably won’t realise it.
His legs were relatively stick like as well. Always raced in longs whatever the weather
I don’t know…maybe his legs snapped turning that 77 tooth chainring with 165 cranks!

Well I guess it didn’t do Nick Bowdler any harm. British Best All Rounder in 2008 & 2009. Check out the size of his chain ring!

Do you ride it with the saddle like that den? I’d be sliding off the front & my arms would be killing me
King of the mountains. If you get a fastest segment time on Strava…..or win the polka dot jersey in the Tour de France
Definitely not recommended if you want to arrive fresh at your destination :-)
