He plays the role exactly as it’s written too. I picked up the first slough house novel for 99p on my kindle thinking “holiday read, if it’s crap investors only wasted 99p”. Within two pages I was...
Speaking personally, I’ve read the books and the series matches those really well. On its own maybe it doesn’t stack up that well but if you’ve read the bookies the series is superb.
binged this yesterday. Superb.
“Upright” on Sky has just started season 2. Tim Minchin wrote and starred and is very good.
Yes, loved it, I can only presume there’s a second season in the works or it makes no sense at all
I’m 3 episodes into “the devils hour” on Amazon. Really very good so far.
I’m rewatching Taboo. Superb.
“The kings” on Discovery+. The story of Hearns, Hagler, Leonard and Duran through their various fights. Absolutely riveting especially since none of them ducked each other and fought all comers....
Did I sleep through world wars 3-10? 😳
Thanks for the heads up 👍🏻
I’ve just nailed season 2 of “dark summer” on Netflix. Zombie apocalypse kinda thing (where the zombies are quick and relentless) but more focussed on what happens when iciest breaks down and it’s...
I think you mean “Time”? And yes, +1, finished it last night, absolutely superb.
Thanks for that, season 1 was superb in so many different ways.
+1, thought these were amazing.
aaah then I’m confusing The Boys release date with Umbrella Academy then (which is out this Friday I believe?). Thanks for the correction :calm:
My BIL is a huge comic book fan and apparently the story is that the writer of the boys approached DC to pitch this as if superman, batman, Wonder Woman etc were superheroes but were human in their...
Last Chance U on Netflix, college (American) football and how the system works over there. Interesting viewing.
Haven’t got there yet, still on series one. Saw the actors on The Last Leg and thought we’d give it a try. Haven’t stopped laughing though a single episode so far (4 episodes in).
A bit late but “This country” on bbc iPlayer. Puerile but a very interesting social commentary. Naaaa it’s just funny.
Gonna add succession to this too. Just watching the finale of season 2 and holy crap 😳.
This and Billions.
Agreed. Just watched the finale last night and holy crap what a ride.
Also Mr Robot finale was superb.
It’s been on Sky to download but not sure it’s a sky original if that makes sense? Worth finding if you can though.
Upright.
Tim Minchin on a road trip that gets progressively more surreal and funny, has a real emotional ending too. Beautiful piece of television.
2 episodes in and it gets better. Getting rave reviews also.
+1, very gentle fish out of water comedy with some genuine laugh out loud moments.
