Great news for you ... I have completely lost track of where you are with your BTC related investments ... I know you were big underwater at one point ... are you now up? Are your ARGO shares up now?...
Also keep in mind the domestic focus of an index.
E.g. FTSE100 80% of revenue is overseas. S&P500 60% revenue is domestic.
Global companies are listed somewhere, so a for example Shell is...
When comparing indexes you can’t just compare the index you need to take into account dividends and the compound effect of reinvestment. FTSE 100 has a much higher yield than the S&P500. Plus it’s...
I’m pretty sure someone in this thread in the darkest of hours you vowed to shift into a portfolio of trackers if the markets presented you the opportunity to escape your position…
Good luck. You are a glutton for punishment.
I’d be cashing out. Look at the fair value estimate.
Maybe take some profit and let the rest ride.
Good luck I'm watching with interest as I currently rebalance my dull trackers ...
Good, I was assuming you'd purchased at 66p ... still a decent chunk of change, again good luck ... this...
Just saying ... above from 28/12/23
You investment style is very interesting ... I'd be following Ryan's advice ...
What, you piled £200k into Argo? Crikey…

Don’t wait too long. Sometimes a small loss is better than waiting for a small gain and ending up at square 1. Looking at the recent uptick it doesn’t look driven by anything fundamental.
If the market offers you the ability to escape your Argo position I’d grab it with both hands.
Exactly, everything is priced in until it isn’t ….
I get you point but unfortunately you are wrong.
If the market was as efficient as you think we’d never have stocks that crash to zero or race off to the moon … which of course happens frequently...
How old is the car?
Sorry, but this sounds like BS ... and if it is happening it's certainly fraud ...
I hold some SMT which I bought relatively recently and is 12% down. It’s a long term hold for me but only 2% of my ISA portfolio so not that significant but I hope maybe it will be 4% in 10 years.
That guy is usually good but this one seems alarmist …. I can’t see the US ever defaulting so speculation that they may and the impact on US money market funds seems like click bait.
Sterling...
Visionary ...
Raffe, you have not been paying attention. Elon says ….
“We’re making a car that, if autonomy pans out, and we think it will, where that asset is actually will be worth a hell a lot more in the...
What app/platform is that? I assume its commission free trades give the low value holdings?
Seems SVB (UK) has been bought by HSBC for £1.
Banks usually make more profits when interest rates are high.
Banking giant HSBC says its quarterly profit has almost doubled, boosted by rising interest rates around the world.
